Flashing brew group light

We just replaced the boiler in our Saeco Magic Delux (old style) and now as we are trying to test it. The brew group light is flasing. The Saeco website says it's jammed. Contact Customer Service. Any ideas?

Brew group light is lighting. Could be a number of things....

Machine may need to be primed. Try turning on the steam valve and let some water threw. See if that helps.

If you can't get the brew drive out, its jammed. You could try unplugging it for about a day, and then plugging it in, sometimes it will reset it self. Else it has to be brought back in, should take 5 minutes to do.

It could also be the descaler light popped on. hold down the steam button and it may turn off.

It could also be a sensor that wasn't put back properly.

Its hard to really say, the light diagnostic system for magic's isn't the best.

The central unit LED blinks green and the machine does not turn on

Hi
The LED should be blinking red not green on a magic delux. The only green light is the boiler light for warming up or ready. If its the brew unit light it means its missing.
Open the door on the right. The brew unit is the thing with the handle that has the “press” on it. You need to push on the upper left side of the brew unit until it clicks. There is an outlet spout on the opposite side of where you are pushing. It goes into an intake port that needs to be lubed, so the outlet spout will slide in without pushing back. That should take care of the missing brew unit.

Temperature control on Saeco magic deluxe

No it cannot. I am not sure why you would want the water hotter. It is designed to be at the perect temperature for passing through the brew group for coffee brewing, its kind of a simple science.
If your machine has been producing less hot coffee gradually, that marks an issue. Try descaling the boiler per the manufacturer's inscrutions even if the warning light isnt on. The other option is that the thermal fuse mounted to the boiler is bad and turns off the boiler prematurely, those cost about $15 and are simple to replace. Lastly, the boiler heating element may be 'burnt out' new boiler is $120+

Steam comes from wand when set to dispense water.

Check the connection to the boiler from the pump, there is no water going to the boiler. Try this test, remove the brew unit you will see a white plastic valve behind it, carefully lift the small lever on the valve(HOT WATER), if water sprays, then the problen is at the brew unit, if no water then the boiler inlet or outlet is clogged.

Expresso comes out warm not hot what is problem

The magic delux has only one boiler so if you are getting hot water and steam, then it could be that the cup used to brew into is taking the heat from your espresso, trly warming up the cup before brewing into.

Brewing stops mid cycle

Sounds like dosage is too high and grind is too fine.

Rule of thumb with any saeco unit.

Do not grind any finer then 2 or your looking for trouble.

Open grinder, clean it out with a vac. Slapped it back on.

The reason it stops is grind is too fine, and the machine doesn't have enough pressure to pass threw the grinds, creates back pressure in the machine and the unit failsafes after a certain amount of time with and pressure.

Back pressure is what blew your boiler.
