So many computer face this blue screen fetal errors on windows.
This error comes usually when there is problem in software or driver compatibility issue with hardware or operating system. Also this error comes when there is bed indexing unit in hard drive. You can solve this errors with following 2 methods. (1)When you power up the computer press F8 key then enter in safe mode. Then if you are able to enter in safe mode then uninstall driver or software which you installed recently and face this error. (2)If you are not able to enter in safe mode Then you need to fix error on hard drive. For that you need windows disk or recovery disk. Boot your computer with that disk For that when you power up the computer press F1 or F2 "del" key to enter in bios. Then go to boot menu and set first boot device as your cd or dvd rom. Then save settings and exit bios. Insert windows disk in cd /dvd rom. Then it boot with that disk. Then you get this message "Press any key to boot from cd.." Then press any key. Then follow the procedure then enter in recovery console mode then type in prompt "chkdsk /r" Then type "y" Then it fix error on hard drive. Then check if again you are not able to enter in windows then boot again and this time choose "R" option for repair previous windows " then it repairs old windows then it loads again old windows. You need to check your system ram or memory. If you have 2 system ram or memory unplug the other memory and install the windows xp sp2 again. If still having a blue screen try the other memory then run the setup again. Also if you have an extra hard disk drive you can test it that or plug your hard disk drive to the other laptop and run the windows xp sp2 using your hard drive. If you can install the windows xp sp2 on the other laptop that means your hard disk drive are good. If your memory and to the other laptop are compatible plug it and run the windows xp sp2 installer to see and to diagnose what are really causing problem. Have a nice day.
This item was designed fro use with Windows NT4 or Win2000 so XP may have driver errors. If you have upgraded XP to SP3 try updates from Windows for a fix, otherwise re instalation of the original OS may be needed. Have you run CHKDSK/F to check for hard drive errors? That is most likely to be the problem as if the drive is formatted to anything other than FAT32 you may be getting read errors. Nice old machine. It will be a shame to have to ditch it.
UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME = the BIOS tries to load Windows and can't find it. Either the hard disk has died and must be replaced or Windows was completely corrupted by malware. In either case you must do a full reinstall and load a better antivirus, and if it happens again you will know that the disk is dead, replace it.
