Yeah, same thing with me. What worked for me is when your little ipod thing pops up when you plug it in, click it and go to the movies tab and just un-sync the movies. Is that helpful? just click the little square box that's checked. I'm a visual person, and I cant really help you without showing you, i'm sorry i hope that's helpful.

When you sync your ipod on the computer, go to the movies tab and your movies will appear. Just uncheck the song and it won't appear on your ipod again.

Thank you, Captain Obvious, for that information. You were very kind to take time out of your day to help. However, your comment wasn't very helpful and not appropriate.

I have over 1000 tunes in my itunes which play fine on my computer, however my ipod classic black stops sync at 310 tunes is this a problem that i can fix myself of is it not worth being fixed - its...

Check to see if your device memory is full. If this is the case, you may have to delete some files to create space for your songs. Are there movies that you have already seen still on the device? Delete them if you do not need them any more as a single movie file can sometimes take up enough space for 100 songs.
A way to check the memory is to click on your Ipod name in itunes and it will take you to the device information.
Hope this is helpful.

How do you delete movies on a 8gb 4th generation ipod???

Hi carlyc00...
Delete the movies you want to the easy way...

Deleting Files,Pictures,Videos,Audio Books, Apps,etc. from MP3 Player/Ipod
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BIG WARNING: DO NOT DELETE THE FILES NEEDED TO OPERATE YOUR MP3 PLAYER.
Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release, right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
ONE MORE BIG WARNING: BE CAREFUL AND DO NOT DELETE THE FILES NEEDED TO OPERATE YOUR MP3 PLAYER.

Dont know how to download movies to a classic

okay.. do you mean sync movies to the iPod classic? if thats what you mean, then boot up iTunes, and plug in your iPod.

then click on your iPods name, and it will bring up a menu.

click on the movies tab, and make sure the sync movies box is checked... then select the all movies option.

now click apply. it should now be syncing the movies you downloaded to your iPod

How do you delete movies from the ipod? I lost my instructions .

If you connect your iPod to your computer and run iTunes, it should bring up a connection to your iPod. From there, you will be able to access the various categories of files you've loaded on there. One category should be 'Videos' or something similar. Select that, and you should see a listing of what you've got loaded onto your iPod, and you can delete them there.

Ipod classic 120g.memory problem

Here is one answer, from the apple website:

Syncing music manuallyIf your prefer not to automatically sync music content to your iPod, you can setup manual syncing.
  1. Connect your iPod to your computer and open iTunes.
  2. Select your iPod in the DEVICES section of the iTunes Source list.ht1351_7.jpg
  3. In the main iTunes browser window, select the Summary tab.
  4. Select the "Manually manage music and videos" option. This will deselect the automatic sync settings for the Music, Movies, and TV Shows tabs. Automatic syncing for Podcasts, Photos, Contacts, and Games can be individually disabled by selecting each of those tabs. Note: When manually managing iPod, disk use is enabled and iPod must always be manually ejected in iTunes before disconnecting.ht1351_8.jpg
  5. Click Apply.
  6. To manually add music, audiobooks, movies or TV shows to your iPod, choose one of these categories under LIBRARY in the Source list
  7. Select and drag items you want (to choose multiple items, Command-click items on a Mac or Control-click items in Windows), then drag them onto your iPod icon in the Source list.
  8. To add a playlist, select it in the Source list and drag it onto your iPod in the same ways as a song.ht1351_9.jpg
  9. When you are ready to disconnect your iPod, select it in the Source list and click the eject icon.

IPod classic video

So when you're watching a movie it suddenly stops and skips back to the menu? If so, try deleting the movie from the iPod and re-copying it over. If this doesn't work, try restoring your iPod (note: this will delete all music\videos you currently have on the iPod).
