Won't drain, runs okay, except there is a loud grinding noise when it runs and it takes 1 and a half hours to do a complete cycle. How to I check the filters, first, and then what else can I do. Warranty expired. THANKYOU!
I decided the machine was too old to fix, because it was over 5 years old and a seal could fail and flood my kitchen inspite of me fixing something else. So I called a truck to come pick it up for tomorrow, and then went under the sink and cut the drain hose and drained it into pails and stuff. So when they take it out, the standing, gross water wouldn't go everywhere. So it is fixed, lol, yes. Thankyou!

Error "i30" means that water remains in base because leakage or overflow. In this case, in order to prevent flooding, drain pump running continuously.
When we talk about AEG dishwasher, drain pump works even the power is turned off (must be connected to the wall outlet, otherwise anti-flooding system will not work).
The noise what you heard during operation indicates that something is blocking the drain pump.
Remedy: you should first remove the water from the bottom of the dishwasher and determine leakage then check why the drain pump makes noise.
If you work around the dishwasher, you always take care that appliance must be disconnected from the power supply.
The LG does suffer from "poor quality" motor that causes this type of noise. The main motor and pump assembly is common to give this type of problem. The pump seal leaks a small amount of water that gets onto the front bearing and causes a "grinding = humming" noise. This can be easly replaced once you have the bottom off and dishwasher on its door. The motoe has 1 screw in the back holding the motor to the bottom and two rubber seals for the water pump in/out into the washer. Just pull and move motor and pump assmbly and it comes free. Replace with a new motor and pump assembly...
dishwashers come with the promise of being the "quietest dishwasher in
its class," according to Frigidaire. However, a quiet dishwasher doesn't
necessarily mean that the dishwasher is silent, as some noises are
normal. It can take some troubleshooting at times to determine if a
noise coming from the dishwasher is typical or if it indicates a larger
Listen for the sound of water filling and draining throughout the washcycle. These sounds are normal and do not indicate an issue.
Pay attention to the drain
motor, which operates at the beginning of each cycle. This noise should
be fairly quiet and should not sound like a loud, grinding or banging
Note that the sound will change
when the wash cycle moves between the lower and middle spray arms. This
sound should be temporary and fairly quiet.
Look for hard items in the dishwasher
grinder or filter if a loud crunching, buzzing or grinding sound is

two cycles, but the item may be lifted out and discarded to eliminate
Remove the bottom rack and spray

impeller, which is round and spins. Remove any debris that may be
clogging up the impeller or pump.
hi, check your waste pipe is clear, check that the filters in the bottom of the machine are clear, try it again on rinse cycle, if it does not empty select rinse again and gently turn selector click by click ,see if empties now? if it does it may be your progamme timer fault if not it may be your pump
you an remove lower access panel run d/w and nextime it makes the noise grab a flashlight and take a look under. sounds like a vibration issue( especially since you hit it nad it stops) perhaps your copper water line is rattling or your drain line is hitting motor causing noise
sounds like you have 2 problems however
generally speaking (most makes) of dishwashers go into drain mode when there is a fault
elsewhere, however is this set up properly, is the waste pipe end high enough to allow the water to actually fill up (only about 30cms of water aprox)so it doesn't flow straight though to the waste.
the noise could just be an empty pump, it runs dry after a while, and makes a screeching noise eventually?
check installation pictures to see if its set up right, you may have also a leak somewhere check all other connections and pipes
