Make sure that all the power cables required are connected properly to the motherboard, test the powersupply on another motherboard for example or use a powersupply tester.

Check that the power switch is connected on the right pins on the motherboard and that the switch works.

The motherboard should turn on - spin fans even if there is no memory, cpu or video card installed. So something is not connected properly, or either the powersupply or the motherboard is faulty.

Can a lid switch on a maytag bravos quiet series 400 model MVWB800VU0 be bypassed for testing, lid switch passes continuity tests but machine won't finish a agitate cycle?

the switch can still be bad manually even though it shows good electronically. How ever if its bad you seldom get some agitation then goes off unless ur opening and closing it? once its bad u get nothing, hence ur problem may be elsewhere. but Im u pics on how to jumper it, I myself think ur problem is in the timer perhaps sticking? if u have no agitation then check the water pressure switch and the door switch

2003 ford explorer sport trac blower motor and switch not getting any power, it was working fine a while ago and i had to start flipping the switch to head then off then back to head, what is wrong?

The selector switch on the dash controls the blower motor relay, then the fan switch controls the speed. The fan switch gets power from a 40amp fuse and the control panel gets power from two other fuses.
If you are working the control switch to get the fan to work, the control switch may be failing.

Not getting a 110 votts to transformer

Measured where? You're getting 110V on one side of the switch but not the other with the switch turned on?? - faulty switch. If you're measuring across two terminals of the switch, with the switch turned on, you should read 0 V. Switch off should read 120 V. Is there a fuse between the switch and the xfmr?

I have des 1008d switch running at 100 mbps.i want to get 200mbps speed full duplex.so please tell me how to configure this switch to get the full speed.

Hi,

D-Link DES-1008D 8-Port Ethernet switch is unmanaged switch which can only support 10/100 MBPS.

You need to replace the switch and the network adapters with a gigabyte switch and adapters to get more bandwidth.

For more information on your switch please visit the link below:

Need electrical diagram on connecting gfci to switch to light to switch Putting in a gfci receptical in bathroom connected to switch to light to switch. Can you help me please.

This can be confusing, but basically, you will need to get a hot wire to the GFI receptacle. If you get a wire from a switch, you need to splice into the hot wire - not the other one (which is a switch leg). You will also need to get a neutral wire to the GFI recept. You normally won't find this at a switch, because you never run a neutral to a switch. The only exception is when there's a light on the switch itself. But let's not get confused with this. There's no neutral at a switch. So your best bet would be to get your hot and neutral from another receptacle. Or, you can get your hot and neutral wire from your electrical panel. Its very important that you do this correctly, otherwise you can cause other problems. I hope this helps you out a little. If you have more questions, feel free to contact me. Good Luck to you, and I hope this works for you. - Jim

Gets "locked" into park. not every time. intermittant problem. can "wiggle" it to get it able to start.

Two items can cause this problem.

A failing ignition switch and/or a failing brake switch.

===
I would pass a vacuum over the ign switch and the shift lever area to get the dust out.
===
The brake switch is hard to get to.

Pull the brake switch connector out and clean off the contacts.

Make sure you clean the switch and the contacts.

Reconnect and test again.

===
Check the brake light to make sure they are working.

I have an Easy-Flo central vac unit. The handle on the electric hose has a switch on the handle. With the switch on ''O'' in the center, it's off. On the left, is the ''I'' position. The vacuum runs but...

You can't get that apart. I repair the switches on these hoses a lot. The only way to fix it is to just get a new switch and replace it. You can get a replacement switch here:

Two way lighting switches

This switch system is not wired correctly which makes me wonder if the "qualified" electrician is actually qualified. Since the system is not working properly, I would first request that the original electrician comeback to fix it at no charge to you. Failing that, get another to trace the problem and fix it. I would get this fixed ASAP as there is the possibility of short circuits and fire if not addressed.
