what type is this electric or gas? have you removed the exsaust from the wall and ran a load like this? if you have heat and this is an electric dryer it sounds like you have a blockage in your house. if the dryer runs fine without the exsaust attached then that is your problem. let me know

99 out of 100 services calls i did with your complanit its the venting.to elimanate that as a possiable you dry a load with out venting[it wont hurt a thing]if dryes then,venting.if not ither your washer is not spining enough water out of clothes or the air passage ways in your dryer are restricted.ther is only one element if it heats ,its fine.could be electronic but most of time no.check it out.God bless,tom

ok so you have some heat.your dryer unless an ge one has one element so if you have heat its working.then what you have is an exust problem.once you heat up the clothes and cause the moisture to evaporate then it must be able to leave the dryer or it reclings to the clothes,hence lond dry times.to test this dry a load with the venting undone and the dryer pulled out.dont worry it wont start a fire/never!its about 180 degress to 130 of moist air. if ok then confirms that venting is blocked.some times dryers get blocked internaly also but do the other first.God bless,tom
