Question about Roper RAS6233KQ Top Load Washer

Washer Filling My washer will only fill part of the time. If I switch the load size, then it may fill. Everything else works fine. The water comes in just fine when it does fill. Any Suggestions?

Sometimes the small tube leading to the  level sensor becomes clogged with soap scum and such. Find the sensor and disconnect the tube and clean it out. Next I would check the fill solenoid to make sure that it is not becoming lazy.

Possible that the settings of the water level sensor is too high, you need to short the switch and see if the inlet flow stops. if not there are issues with the main controller unit.

Washer over filling with water

There is a water level pressure switch located on the inlet of your washer that controls the amount of water that enters your washer depending on the size of load which is also controlled with a switch.

Maytag top loader won't agitate. will fill and spin

Hello,

Try this:
When the washer should be agitating, try turning your load size switch back and forth a few times. If you are on a medium load, going to a larger load should cause it to begin filling again, going to a smaller size should start the motor for agitate. If this works, your pressure / water level sense switch is okay, but the switch for load size is faulted / or is on its way out. If you went from a medium load, to a higher load, then your pressure switch is faulted as well.

Gcxrpo9odoww GE washer .. On fill up, it over flows onto floor?

Fill switch could be bad, or fill tube could be plugged making water not stop and it keeps filling. The fill tube goes from fill load selector switch to bottom of tub. Remove from top and blow it out. If this doesnt work replace water load size selector switch.

Kenmore serie 80.does not stop filling water in and does not star

Yeah I've seen that happen a many of times. Take the back of the control panel off and where your load size selector is you'll find a little hose that's suppoed to be attached to the side of it. just reattach it and you'll be back up and running.

Almost all washing machines use a pressure tube that tells the washer when to stop filling with water. If the tube comes off for some reason the washer will never stop filling and that's an instant flood if you don't notice it quick enough. Also a hole or puncture of any kind can be causing ti to never stop filling as well.

Hope this helps

My washer will not stop filling with water and overflows

Turn the washer on and let the water run, while the water is running unplug the power cord if the water stops the inlet valve is ok but if still running the valve is bad and need to be replace if the pump is good you need to test the water level switch, if faulty need to replace.
good luck

hi there,

i would recommend checking the water level switch or lid switch and also the cable leading to it. that is what sends a signal to the machine control to stop filling with water.
