Sounds like a compressor trying to start and is not. Check at the compressor for a hum then a click. This is a sign that the compressor has failed. If you had a power outage try unplugging it for a period of time and then plug it back in.

Waht makes a Dometic 1402 work normal on electric but the refridgerator warms up when on gas? Freezer warms up slightly but refridgerator 10 to 15 degrees?

Dometic had several recalls for that problem, faulty thermostat I believe. Mine does the same thing, but I haven't taken it out to replace the thermostat / thermocoupler.

Hello Patrick,

The leak is caused by a blocked drain for the defrost. It is a fairly common thing so common in fact i have written this tip explaining how to clear a frozen drain for the defrost.

Our refrigerator has started to leak water outside the refrigerator in the front. What could be causing this?

from inside refridgerator, or from below?
could be your condensation drain pan or the tube from the refridgerator to the condensate drain pan is stopped up. Have to take lower access panel off back of unit.If it has an icemaker, the water line could be leaking.

Why do i have water in my refridgerator

Air contains water particles and it will condense to form solid ic, you have to defrost your refridgerator on a regular basis and have to watch the water is drained up to the maximum extent

GE regrigerator not cooling or freezing

first defrost it by turning it off for 1\2 to 1 full day,put towels on the floor to catch the water, when a refridgerator gets frosted up it cant circulate the cold air,and if its one with the freezer on top then the cold air cant blow down into the refridgerator, check inside the refridgerator at the top where the thermostat cover is there will be a vent hole,it could have ice built up so much that its totally blocking the air flow. This usually happens when hot food is put in the refridgerator and causes steam,or the refridgerator runs too much caused by bad door seals,or the cooling fins on the back or bottom underneath plugged with dust and the freon gets too hot causing condensation inside the freezer which causes it to frost up,a plugged drain hole will back up water and freeze, the fan in the freezer may have stopped working, which is about a $60.00 part, and finally a bad defrost element (about a $40.00 part)which is a glass tube inside the freezer with a coiled up wire inside it that heats up at certain times to defrost any ice build up,(which is the last thing to check)

not shure as to the design of that brand, but it is usually caused from a bloked up drain

Frigidaire refridgerator Model #FRT16CRH, how to clean freezer insulation

that part is the hart of the unit and more trouble than you want to get into. i do not suggest that you try and take it apart, you could really mess things up, would be very unlikely that anything got between there anyway
