SOURCE: magellan roadmate 1430 calibration is wrong
try a hard reset again using a paper clip, insert it in the little pin
hole on the side to reset the unit. if that fails, get the 3.12 update (if you havent already)
off the magellan site..you must register the unit with magellan before
you can download the update.

Your probably right about it still not working even after the 5.32 upgrade. Although it could be the software, so try resetting GPS user data. Enter into the "secret" menu by pressing the zoom out key and the repeat button while at the beginning user menu. select reset GPS data.. If it's nothing to do with software, check your antenna and make sure none of the pins inside the connection are bent.. or the RF cable inside could be gashed/cut.. bent up.. do you hear a rattle when you shake your unit?

I called Magellan and they told me that the previous destinations hold only 20 addresses and the new ones will override the old ones. I have more then 20 previous destinations and it just keeps adding new ones to the list.
