Are you saying the keyboard isn't working? or it interferes with something else when using it? Do you have a second keyboard you can use?

Why msi motherboard not recognizing keyboard?

The simple answer is to try a different keyboard first just to make sure that the problem isn't the keyboard. If it still doesn't work go into the BIOS and change the settings to report an error if no keyboard detected, if it says it can't find a keyboard during the boot process, then you may have a problem with your hardware/BIOS chip

how did you do this if the keyboard was not working ?
During the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup usually the Delete or the F2 key

My deyboard does not type letters and numbers. other functions like start key capslock etc do work. changed keyboards, problem pesists

what type of keyboard do you have wireless ,usb ??
try blowing out all of the dust from your keyboard using a fine air blower from an air compressor making VERY sure there is no MOISTURE in the lines.
dust causes static which causes lots of problems with a computer and its parts
or if this does not fix the problem
Click start control panel keyboard you can change your settings there
or you might have uninstall the keyboard then restart your computer then reinstall it and its drivers
click start control panel keyboard hardware then properties you hould see driver details and have options to,update driver, roll back driver, uninstall
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to keyboard you might see a yellow question mark ? right click update driver
if your computer came with a motherboard disc the drivers could be on it
diconnect the keyboard then reconnect it then reinstall the driver
make sure the lead has a secure seating if applicable or the usb device

or you might have to load failsafe defaults
During the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup
Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS you can load failsafe defaults or load optimized defaults ,press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart

hope this helps you

Computer does not reboot after a reboot command

usually it's a faulty RAM, doesn't it show an error on/during POST ?!?!
maybe just a loose connection between board and keyboard?!
if you can, debug the process:
1 - check cables
2 - disconnect all cables except keyboard, mouse and monitor
-- REBOOT
3 - open the case
4 - how many RAM dimms?!?!
5 - if more than 1, remove one of them and REBOOT
exchange them and reboot again.
this should help to identify the problem.
if all fails.... maybe a faulty board, or processor.
or some pci card.

Computer will boot but will only displays press sel to enter setup and F12. No lights on PS2 keyboard. Tried USB keyboard no luck. No lights. CPU Fan is running and the hard disk is spinning. CD rom opens...

Try another PS2 keyboard.
Try a USB keyboard with a PS2 adapter.
Try resetting the bios using the jumper on the motherboard.
Try removing all of the dust you can from inside the case, reseating all the components and going through the process again. If you can't get it to recognize that a keyboard is installed and can't get the bios to continue despite the no keyboard error you'll have to replace the motherboard.

MotherBoard Problem (BIOS)

im not positive this will work for you but in my bios there is a setting for USB keyboard and USB mouse and at one point I had to enable both of those to use my keyboard and mouse during the windows formatting process. Try to find settings like that for USB keyboard and enable them in your bios. If that doesn't work then you will have to use a different keyboard or get a usb to ps/2 converter. you might want to try unplugging your keyboard and then booting and see if it still goes straight into bios. If it doesn't then your keyboard is sending signals without you pressing the keys and that is obviously the issue.

Keyboard beeb

Check first keyboard's connection to your PC. If you are using a windows OS : - Make a right click on "my computer" - Another right click on "properties" On the system properties screen: - make a left click on "hardware" - Another left click on "Device manager" On the device manager screen : - Look for the "keyboard" - Make a left click on it. - See if you have there a keyboard definition and double click on it Under the "Generl" tab look for the device status. Should be "This device is working properly" - Left click on the "Driver" tab and run the "update driver" process If problem still exist, run the "Roll back driver" process
