The round peg came out from my Kitchenaid stand mixer. Now it is not attached to the stand. I cannpt push it back in, it stops on something in there.

I had this happen in my culinary lab and we thought we would NEVER get the mixer back together. You really need two people: one holds the mixer top and gets it lined up with the stand and the other has to insert the peg. A flashlight will help you see the path that the peg should take. It takes some time and patience but there isn't really any secret. Just line up the head and the stand and be sure the openings match up and slide in the peg. I found that a pliers or wrench made the jobe easier.
I hope this helps. If you get it all reassembled using my advice, please come back and rate my answer.

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.

You need to download and peruse this manual:
http://www.kitchenaidparts.be/centers/servicemanual/mixer.pdf

See page 6 about removing the pin (figure 4) and planetary access bottom of the page and page 7.
There is yet another pin that must be removed on page 7, figure 6 to get the gear case cover off.

The manual is loaded with all the information you should need to inspect and repair your mixer.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

Hi, I have a kitchenaid mixer from the US and want to get the voltage changed to work in Australia. Can you advise on where/how I can get this done please?

As your mixer runs on 110Volts. When you get to Australia, find an electronics/hardware store and there will be access to 240 ~ 110 transformers. The only critical bit is the current the mixer draws. Add 10% to be on the safe side. Or another option is to replace the motor with a 240Volt version when you are there unless one is available now at a good price.
Hope that helps.

I require a distributer of kenwood food mixers in s.a. as i repair kenwood mixers in zimbabwe and would like to deal direct with a reputable company regards a.campbell

Most major manufacturers supply manuals online so if you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, you may be pleasantly surprised as usually, if available, one is able to download, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, Dealer Network for spare part supplies as required.

The information is normally free of charge.

I hope this helps.

ON CHRISTMAS AS I MIXED A CAKE MY KITCHENAID MIXER SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS STRUGGLING, THEN IT JUST STOPPED RUNNING. MY MIXER IS LESS THAN 5 YEARS OLD AND REALLY HASN'T BEEN USED VERY MUCH. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT...

Is the warranty still valid?
Is there a recall on the model you have?

Typically the problem you describe is a problem with the motor brushes or you were mixing more material than the mixer was designed to mix and the internal thermal link failed.
The mixer is too young to develop this problem without abuse of a material flaw.
If there is no recall on it and the warranty has expired your best bet is to buy a new mixer. Repair cost will typically exceed the cost of a new on if it was a cheap model costing less than $50.00.
