Email errors I have an email on my Palm DX that I want to delete, but when I try an error message pops up saying MData Err: ERROR_NO_ENTRIES_FOUND and when I tap OK it closes the emails a goes back to main menu. A second email has the same error message, but this time it occurs when I try and open it, then when I tap OK the Palm reboots and displays the following system error message (Sys 0505) (0,841) I have checked both emails on my PC and they are fine- no viruses no big files. All othere emails are working fine

I would erase the TX memory and reload the software.

The TX memory can be erased by pressing the reset button in the back of the unit while holding down on the power button. Press yes to confirm delete.

Reload Palm software from CD.

On my HTC tytn this thing keeps popping up called GPRS 3g. and it says."Cannot connect for an unknown reason. to Check your connection settings and change them tab settings. if the problem continues, reset...

Once in settings, tap on connections and then tap on Manage Existing Connections, now tap and hold on the connection entries and select Delete. Delete all the entries from there and it should not give you the error message again.

Still getting error (sys 0505) 0, 841 on Palm TX

Try a hard reset and wiping it out. Then resync it with the newest Palm Desktop manager 6.2

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.

How can I delete VersaMail from my Palm T/X? I never use it. Thanks

The easier thing, would be to simply disable the conduit. Set the conduit to "Do nothing" via the HotSync Manager's "Custom" menu item and check the "Default" checkbox. Then the sync will just blow by the VersaMail conduit as if it wasn't there.
Or you can purchase Conduit Buddy:

Error in Palm Desktop on PC

You need version Palm desktop v6.2 (not v4) to run under Vista. If you have the 64 bit version of Vista you will have to use Bluetooth to transfer data, not USB. Enjoy and please rate this post.

HotSync error ((sys 0505) (0,841)

I also had this problem. Searched for a solution and found that the error message refers to older programs incompatible with newer models of the palm. If you do a Hot Sync on a different and/or newer model palm device there may be these incompatibilities. The usual problem programs are mypalm and mytreo. You need to delete them by
first doing a Hot Sync
going to Applications on the palm
tap on the menu icon (or the left upper corner of the display)
tap on Delete
go down the list to delete each of these programs.
Hot Sync problems should stop
If not, you need to do a hard reset and then slowly add third-party software one by one and look for problems.

Fatal Alert

Here is Epocrates answer: "... A fatal error when opening the Epocrates application typically indicates that one of our database files has become corrupt. HotSyncing again may restore functionality. If not, uninstalling and reinstalling our application should correct the problem. Other Fatal Error messages relate to not enough free memory on your mobile device for a complete installation or, your mobile device does not use the correct Palm OS version. Please verify you meet our minimum system requirements by returning to our web site, click Support, and then click System Requirements by your Epocrates application. Delete Epocrates Palm/Win from your mobild device. On your mobile device, tap the clock (located upper left corner of your screen), tap App then Delete. Select the following files (one at a time) then tap Delete. You may not see all of these files on your mobile device. It may take several minutes to delete a file. The file will disappear from the program list or your mobile device will turn off when complete. Cannot hoysync with outlook 2003

After installing, reinstalling, deleting, hard resets, hitting head against wall... I tried installing the Pocket Mirror conduit as a last ditch effort. An error message popped up saying it could not find the mapi32.dll file. I looked at another PC, located that file in the windows32 directory, copied it to my PC, and I was able to hotsync with Outlook. To test this, I uninstalled the Pocket Mirror and Palm desktop SW, then deleted the mapi32.dll. Installed the Palm 4.1.4 sw, outlook 101 update, plus the conduit update, had same error messages. Added the mapi32.dll to the windows32 directory - was able to successfully sync with Outlook!
