Software problem with Designer Vision mp3 player.

Hello friends...
I've got an mp3 player of Designer Vision.
This is it.

http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=...

My problem is that whenever I switch it on using the play button,
it switches on with a DESIGNER VISION logo..
but then it shows just nothing...
It hangs on that logo...
Even, it doesn't get switch off.
I have to switch it off by removing the battery.

I have tried formatting it too using a PC but couldn't fix the problem.
What might be the real problem and how can i fix it??

Also,
Data transfer is still going perfect.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Mp3 files edit

Delete the song with the bad info from the player (not from the computer)
Open Windows Media Player
Right click on the song you want to move
Edit the ID3 tag - Advance Id3 Tag Editor
Change the Album info
Re-add the song to the mp3 player
You cannot edit from the mp3 player itself - you must make the changes inside windows media player, and THEN re-add

Designer Vision mp3 player

It means that you will have to download the software from the website and reinstall that on your player through a PC. Basically it is like reinstalling the OS on a PC, only this is the OS for your player.

Well, you can always try Reformatting it with the built in Operating System Format.. Since I have no 2000 boxes around anymore, I cannot tell you for sure that it will work with the older OS, but I have had to reformat my old MP3 Flash Stick Player before, and it worked... (Now I use a Zune, so if I loose it, I will have to try something more extreme, like updating the firmware..)

Now, all that being said, I also have a vast array of memory sticks that are quite dead, and formatting them does me no good at all...

Also, it could even be the USB ports themselves that are causing your issues.. one quick fix might be to update the drivers, or just uninstall the USB devices (Device Manager) and then reinstall them, just by rebooting your PC.

I have a great link for solving USB problems, since my website is down for repairs.. read through this for some help with USB:

For XP: http://www.usbman.com/WinME%20USB%20Guide.htm

For 2000: http://www.usbman.com/Win2000.htm
