Question about Sanyo DP32746 32 in. LCD Television

1 Answer

Picture is not centered. Top to bottom. Picture is cut off on the top 1/2"

What can be done, if anything to fix this? My TV is barely a year old. Why does everything seem to go belly-up after the warranty expires.

Warranty is 1 year parts and labor, 2 years parts only and 3 years for control boards. That model does not have a control board. You could have a bad thermostat, bad high limit, bad thermal link or bad element. Without you having a multimeter anSd the knowledge of how to use it properly it would be best to replace the unit.

My Vizio TV (less than 1 year old) has green/red vertical lines on the left side when first turned on. They go away in 10-20 minutes.

Hello. If your POP (Proof of Purchase like store receipt) is less than 1 year old you have to contact Vizio immideately and setup appointment for authorized technician in-home service.
You might have problem with LCD Panel (or plasma whatever you have) that result of manufacturing defect and reveals itself only after several months of use. You still covered by manufacturer's warranty and you don't need to pay anything to get your TV fixed or replaced.
After warranty expiration replacing a panel generally cost more than buying new TV.
Act as soon as you can and don't try to fix anything by yourself.
Regards.
Russ.

I have a kenmore refrig it is two years old the icebox wont cool

Ms. Harris,
If your unit is a bottom freezer and it is not freezing i.e warm, you more than likely have a sealed system issue. Check your warranty disclosure in your users manual. You may have Five years parts only on the sealed system.
Her is a tip: If you have American Express- Charge it . AMEX will mirror the manufacturers warranty.

Burning error all the time

the reason why it went from burning everything to barely burning and now not burning is because the laser in your dvd drive is bad. It takes alot of power from the laser to burn dvd's and it only has so many hours that it can burn before it goes completely. Replacing the drive is the way to solve the problem. If you machine is under warranty then getting it replaced by sony shouldn't be a problem. If its out of warranty then getting one off of ebay should be pretty cheap.

Re: microwave does not heat

Is very unlikely that there could be any other electrical failure since everything else seems to be working.
If you are able to fix it yourself then is way more cheaper just to buy the magnetron.
Click here to find the magnetron.
Before you do any work on this device, please click here to know how to discharge the high voltage capacitor and other safety concerns when working with devices that generate high voltages.
I would say is not worth it to spend more then $100.00 for a 5+ years old microwave.
Good Luck.

Sanyo DSC27930 No picture, no sound but seems to have power.

Hi there!

Something did Pop and yes it will cost 150 - $300 to repair. The question is what would a new unit of the same size and quality cost. If the repair is about a third of the cost of a new unit , it would still be considered economical in RSA. If repaired it may run again for another 4 years so the Math speaks for itself. The decision entirely yours in the end. It could really be anything that popped so to give advice would be difficult. However, try the fuse first. It is certainly the cheapest option at the moment. Regards and good luck, JUS004
