Question about Heating & Cooling
What does seer mean to me when buying air conditioner tons I understand is amount hold i have a 3 ton now and getting told so many different answers I am being told I should go to 4 ton and higher seer others saying keep 3 and go a little higher seer can you explain thank you
The higher the seer the more efficent it is no matter the tonage of the unit
make sure that the tonage is correctly sized for the home rule of thumb is if the home is insulsted properly 600 sq feeet per ton
oversizing creates shot cycles real cool then warm real cool then warm, under size unit runs all the time
