Question about Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

I have a Sanyo DMP-M600 MP3 player. My computer used to recognise it as a removable device, but now will not. When I connect it, it just says "CHARGE". I'm getting a little tired of the same songs. Any ideas?

I hope this helps the many people searching for drivers for this digital music player...First one should completely read the DMP-90 USERS GUIDE,SPECIFICLY the Appendage....I wonder if this is a major reason why users cannot get the MP3 player to work ??? If it simply does not connect to ones computer ...... the reason will be that the Parallel Port Mode is incorrectly set...So how do we check this ? First click START > then Right Click My Computer > then Properties .>then Hardware > then Device Manager ......

Now Expand + on Ports (Com & LPT)

If it does not state ECP Printer Port the DMP-90 will not have a connection with the computer...
So lets say it only reads Printer port (with no ECP in front of it) ...Well one has to set this within the bios of ones computer.. So if one does not know how to do this get a friend who does ....
Now the drivers ...That work with XP..Heres the link..

and the file name....
Dlinkdmp90_app_041502.exe

Install in Folder.....It will have 3 files...

Open Readme text file and read it....It basicly says ...Execute the port95nt.exe program first. It will automatically upgrade your Win2000/NT/XP with the new patches. then reboot your computer..then one can move the cakernt.exe file into another directory or folder ....then Double click the cakernt.exe and it will activate the program for downloading the MP3 files into the player.....I actually never moved the cakernt.exe..I just double clicked it from its install folder and dragged the MP3's into it.......

Help !!! for my sanyo DMP-M600

You have the serial number in 2 places I know, one on the certificate and one on the mp3 player itself (it's where the tiny details are written: model no. , power source etc). Use the one written on the player if you've lost the certificate, or vice versa. Hope you'll be successful. I have the same player (Sanyo DMP-M600), so I think that'll help. Good Luck!

Hitachi living systems model dmp400n

I've got one of these. All worked fine then both my PCs now declare it a corrupt device and refuse to recognise it! Player still works fine, plays, charges, etc but no PC connection.

Tried the reset but appears to do nothing (player just carries on doing what it doing). Is there a procedure for reset that I'm not following correctly?
Help will be much appreciated!
