SOURCE: How to read the meter on Cannon Copier

Yes, that is the correct counter of the copier. If you are doubting it, you can look at the bottom right of that display and confirm that the serial number is the same as on the back cover of the copier and also, it well tell you the model of the copier aswell. It is kind of hard to fake the meter or change it to a lower amount. To do it you need to change 3 PCB's from another copier & it is more work to bother with.

SOURCE: How do I reset the counters for drum life?

You must order a fuse from a toner supply company.
Ask for instructions but it is not a easy task. I pay someone to do mine.

It's the number of faxes your machine has printed and sent out.

Also you should have a Drum Life Counter.

Error message Sharp FO-4450 Fax machine

Press life "2" start for toner.

And life "3" start for drum.

These will reset the counters.

If you are having a "check drum error" then you have broken the sensor arm that is attached to your lid.

Call a technician in your area.
