Flickering screen

Same problem vertical lines for only ten minutes then goes away

same, ivee had it for 2 days and started flickering a horizontal green line across the top of the screen. It seem s to project the bottom of the screen at the top, almost like a camera flash. Usually dose this when there is a scene change or major color change on the show. Most of the time with darker colors.

yeah mine is the same way. there will be a bunch of diagonal or vertical lines going across the screen and after about a half hour they will go away but then come back in a bit

ya WTF westing house i guess i deserve this fortrying to savemoney.... these companies are crookstryingto sell a productthey know does not work......

Same thing here: thick or thin,strobing or static lines down the right hand third of the screen, in various colours (depending on whether the tv or the pc is in use).
Started about two weeks ago as digital looking garbling of whatever was on the screen at the time. Left off for a day, it seemed to recover. Striped effect came back after forty minutes. Called a repairman, typically the fault went . Got another week out of it before it started doing it again.


So far I've... unplugged everything, (digital, pc, dvd, video) couldn't find anything on tv settings that would make any difference.. tried anyway .. no change
On tv's "PC settings" (problem started when using pc but continued when turned off..I checked) I've tried...
Reset to factory, horizontal, vertical, phase and clock (pc isn't plugged into DVI in). Tried everything on tv's pc settings menu.. no change to stripes, just alters/moves the picture behind them.
Tried returning pc graphics settings and graphics card settings to defaults, then reinstalling and updating, no change.
I guess it's a part of the tv that needs replacing.. it's just annoying that the screen isn't completely broken. There was, as far as I'm aware, no physical damage done to this part of it, and nothing is wrong with with any other aspect.

there are horizontal lines that flickers. Sometimes it is so bad that they are all over the screen. I thouhgt it was due to my TV that has HD and my cable box is not. So I upgraded my cable box to HD and the problem pursists. It happens to both, HD channel and non-HD Channels.

Same problem here. 2 year old set. Flickers most of the time.
