I've had my Canon SD880 for awhile and have never had issues uploading pictures to my old PC. However I recently switched to Mac and seem to be having issues now. I downloaded all the camera software and once I tried to upload new pics, I received a "Failed to initialize program" message and can't seem to get any further. Any thoughts on what to do here? Thanks.

Use a card reader instead of the camera and download to a folder you create on your desktop. From there, you can do what you want with the pics.

Sd880 dirt on ccd/image sensor

I would recommend a Canon repair facility, the lens housing would need to be dis-assembled which requires precision and high degree level of skill. Canon is one of the better products and they do a professional job with warranty, check out pricing .

I have a canon ixus 870 IS camera and cant't find any drivers etc to connect/upload the pictures from the camera to my computer. I've lost the program that came with the camera and have a new pc. Can you...

The simple solution is to get a card reader. You plug the memory card in one end and the other end to a USB port on your computer. It shows up as a removable drive in "my computer" or windows explorer offers to open it for you. typrice_5.jpg

My Canon PowerShot SD880 IS has a black display screen. I cannot take pics now with the black screen, but the display DOES work for pics taken before the screen went black. Please help!

I don't have a solution, but I have the same problem. I found one posting elsewhere that said that this was a "common" problem. That person's camera was under warranty. Mine isn't, but it's less than 2 years old.

I just recently got a mac laptop and i have had my canon powershot sd1000 but i dont know how to upload my pictures? do i have to download something?

Get a card reader/writer, save your time and effort. No software will be needed for this.
Then upload your files and use your software to edit or upload to the web or whatever.
