Question about Samsung SGH-t209 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

No dialing out

After unlocking my Samsung t209 successfully via the advice provided here, I am unable to dial out. When I try, a message appears telling me that I may only make emergency calls. I am using the same SIM card as used in my local Belgian phone, so I know that I am in the area of my network (Mobistar). However, when I looked through the "phone settings" to check networks, I do not find mobistar listed among the other 2 there. Any help???

Thanks!

I successfully unlocked my Samsung Impression SGH-A877. I put in the new sim card for my new carrier (in Japan) but when I dial a number I get the "emergency calls only" message. Does anyone know...

Hi there, If you are trying to use a SIM card in your phone and getting a message like "Enter Subsidy Code", "Incorrect SIM Card", "SIM not provisioned" or similar messages, then you need an unlock code for your mobile phone. You can get Samsung SGH-A877 Unlock Code from the network provider, they can open up all networks for you where you want to use your phone. Once your phone is unlock, it will work with any networks worldwide without sticking to one network only. You may visit Samsung Unlock Code site, they will provide you an accurate code with easy to follow instructions on how to unlock your phone.
Hope this is helpful.
Thanks.

How to unlock my samsung SGH-T209

I managed to make the following work for my Samsung SGH-T209 locked to the T-Mobile network. Credit goes to toolnut43 (http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/462229#2821568)

Posted as follows:
Try this

1. Insert other providers sim
2. *2767*3855# wait for your phone to reboot(restart)
3. *7465625*638*00000000*00000000# (this changes network lock w/password 00000000)
4. #7465625*638*00000000# (this deactivates network lock w/00000000)
5. *#7465625# to check all locks
If all are inactive, then you are good to go.
u can unlock x495.x497.x660.t509.t809 and latest, plus of course T-209.

Enjoy!
