I had bought a dual xd1222 aftermarket stereo. i bought a gm2000 harness for it to hook up in my 2002 chevy cavalier. i have all the wires connected but when i hook it up in the carit will not work. what...

check the fuse behind the stereo and in your fuse box first off and make sure the power wire/ignition wires are on the correct pin. do this with a test light for verification. also check the ground wire. after you test and connect these 3 wires, the stereo should turn on. Your wiring harness may not be done correctly so visual verification with a test light would be the best thing before starting a car install. If this still does not work and the stereo you took out did, it is a malfunctioning unit.

My sony car stereo plays a cd but no music comes out but if you switch to radio sound comes out

Most of the time this is a case of having the wrong wire hooked up to power your amplifier, aftermarket or stock. Simply siwtch the blue wires in your harness. one is solid blue, and one is blue with white. Swap the one you have hooked up for the other.

If this is not the case, then the CD section of your radio is bad.

Problem installing car stereo

THE FIAT BRAVO HAS A STANDARD ISO CONNECTION WHICH SHOULD PLUG INTO MOST AFTERMARKET STEREOS AND THEREFORE YOU WON'T NEED TO KNOW THE COLOUR CODE, IF THERE ISN'T ANY PLUG ON THE STEREO BUY AN ISO PLUG THEY'RE NOT EXPENSIVE AND CONNECT IT TO THE RADIO AND JUST PLUG IT INTO THE CAR HARNESS, YOU DON'T REALLY WANT TO CUT THE CAR'S WIRING
