Only prints in green, yellow and blue seem to work ok but no blk or red have replaced blk and red but still wont work. unit has been sitting for six months without use, maybe ink has dryed ,, if so is there a way of cleaning it.

Make sure that you are using genuine Brother ink cartridges.what is on the lcd screen of the brother machine?if no cart, remove all cart.reinstall them.if there is an error message, sorry, but you have to replaced.and your brother machine does not have a green cart.it only has cyan(blue),mag(red),yellow and black.there is a way of cleaning it though
