Refrigerator is not cooling. When this happens if I unplug the refrigerator and plug it back on it starts to cool but after some time it stops cooling again. Please advise what may be wrong with the refrigerator.

Greetings ...Thank you all for your suggestions. This time I unplugged refrigerator and plugged it back on after cpl of days. Using leveling screws i raised the refrigerator bottom to allow air to move freely. Also I was using an extension cord which removed and connected the refrigerator to the outlet directly. Currently the refrigeraot has been running with out problems for over a week. If I run into the issue again I plan on replacing the thermal fuse as suggested. Great site and very much appreciate the recommendations and the suggestions.

Refrigerator shuts off get a ER FF code. Unplugging seams to render it for a few days and it happens again.

What lights are on, it has an error. Most likely if it runs for a few hours after plugging it in, the problem is with the thermal fuse. It is located on the evaporator. You will need a service call unless you can get the part. It is quite easy to change.
error code would be ER DH or 567 in the freezer lite up.

On the display where you control the tempurature. When the unit stops to work, what lights are on?

ok so what is happening the unit gets to defrost and stops. Therefore it is most likely the thermal fuse is blown.

It is located on the evaporator. Get this fixed and your problems are over.

Check and clean the condenser. Unplugging the system allows it to cool off. when you plug it back in it will cool until the heat rebuilds if not rejected through the condenser. Make sure the condenser fan comes on when the compressor runs. A faulty fan motor will cause the same type of problem.

Need help w LG refrigerator..temp control not working. Was told it is computer chip Can you advise?

Hello there:
There are a couple of reasons why this controle may be not working (or it may be working but not properly)
I will post this solution in 2 seperate posts so you can troublehoot this in detail ok before going right to the chip and associated parts
It's not cool If the refrigerator isn't cool, you need to answer some questions,
Is the thermostat knob turned to the proper setting? If not, unplug the refrigerator for 30 min then plug it back in than reset it. first at the highest setting than slowly turn it counterclock wise to see if it clicks if not the temperature control device itself may be bad and not the chip itself.
the chip rarly fails
Next, see if the compressor motor is running Cooling is poor

Stopped cooling

Best to unplug the refrigerator now and let compressor cool. The internal overload will be damaged if power remains on and trying to start. We need to test the compressor and start components before you buy anything, Let me know Sea Breeze
