1 Answer

Toshiba satellite 1805 shuts down suddenly

Yeah me too. my friend who sold it to me sez i download too much porn but i dont agree cuz ive grinded too many pc's not to know whats what. its the temp alright, and once they overheat they are permanently damaged and the problem will not go away, although i like that cooling rack idea right now im suspending mine in the air with my desk knick-knacks, keeping her cool is always good, but, like i said, once it dies. i still owe like 500 bux maybe i can convince my friend to lower the price

Have you taken it to someone that can take it apart and clean it? Just like a desktop computer, it can get dirty and once you get enough dust and dirt inside it, it's going to heat up FAST all the time. Also, certain programs cause it to run hotter than others. Depending on how much processing it's doing, etc.

Once it heats up and gets to a certain temperature (or age, etc) the processor grease goes bad as well. Meaning... it doesn't cool like used too, it can get hard, etc., etc. Having someone take it apart to clean it and reinstall new grease can also help.
