Question about Dryers

Whirlpool ultimate care II dryer not heating up

I cleaned everything I could turned on the dryer and there was heat. I did this in the dark to see if could see a light kick on. I didn't but I had heat. While cleaning up the dryer was trying to do something because it was making a noise. I checked the dryer and there was no more heat. Could this be from the Thermal fuse burned out or a thermal couple?

It heats sometime and goes cold after about 20 mins. Let set awhile and it works again for 15 min.

We have a Whirlpool Ultimate Care II gas Dryer that is getting intermittant heat. Sometimes it will heat, sometimes it won't. Iin addition, today it stopped rotating as well. Ideas?

Could just be a matter of wires coming loose. The movement and vibration of the spinning could have shaken wires loose. look for any wires not connected to anything.

Burning smell

Stop using the dryer! You are probably close to having a fire if you continue to use it. The whole vent system should be taken apart, cleaned, the heat limit sensors checked and the duct cleaned. Your dryer is overheating and is a danger.

Appliance rewiring wiring WIRLPOOL ULTIMATE CARE II

The Whirlpool Ultimate Care II cannot be outfitted for a standard 115 VAC wall outlet. Your dryer is a 220 VAC appliance. It needs to have it own dedicated 30 amp, 220 VAC circuit with the proper outlet and power cord installed. The dryer heating circuits and timer will not run on 115 VAC. I think you need to reconsider what you are about to do...

Whirlpool Gold Ultimate Care II: No heat

didc, on a gas dryer, if the thermal fuse blows it will still rotate, but will not heat. Since this is a gas dryer, see if the ignitor is glowing. If it is, then you know the thermal fuse is good. If not, the thermal fuse may be blown or the ignitor itself and thus the reason for no heat. Catriver.7152136.jpg
