Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

1 Answer

Voice Record Memory Full

That's the message I continuously get when trying to push any of the keypad buttons. As with other people, only my power On/Off work and now the Camera (Right Soft Key) work. I'd like to find out how to Master Clear using a USB connection because I can't reach the Main Menu on the phone physically. Any suggestions? Thank you!!

My LG VX6100 won't accept voice messages

Problem solved! Turns out that my son didn't realize that you have to call your voicemail box and delete voice messages by pressing "7" on the keypad. He thought that when you pressed "erase all" on the text message menu it erased voice mail, too. So the mailbox was full, as it only holds twenty messages. Sometimes the most obvious solution is the solution!

Voice record memory full & screen froze

Are you able to get into the software to purge the voice records?

If not, it sounds like the phone needs to be "reflashed" at an authorized service centre. Take it where you bought it. It should not cost you if it is less than one year old (warranty).

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Can only receive calls and turn the phone on and off! cannot dial out, access my contacts, ect., keypad not working at all.

If you are comfortable taking part of the phone apart there is something you can try. Remove the two Torx screws right below the battery. Gently pull the plastic cover loose. There will be a cable that connects this portion of the phone to the keypad/LCD/etc. Clean the connector on this cable and the connector it was plugged into with 99.5% Isopropyl alcohol. Reseat the cable and the part of the phone you removed and replace the screws you removed. If this does not work the keypad flex on the phone is probably damaged and will need to be looked at by a repair center.

Keypad frozen, still receives calls

Hi, You don't need 2 flash your razr for this problem. What u need is a screen flex cable. The three buttons around the screen are controlled by a flex cable and the voice recorder is connected on this flex cable. This needs replacing but it's very tricky to deal with. I suggest a really good tech that deals with razr's to handle this problem to possibly replace the flex cable. This would solve yor frozen keypad problem. SAM !

I can call anyone.

ok I found out that there is a kaypad memory battery and that could be your problem. Or, the software for the keypad could have been corrupted by dropping it. You can fix that one by going to the motorola support page and upgrading your software. (you need a data cable for this). Other than that you will most likely need to buy a whole new keyboard assembly.
