I set my brand new GE oven to bake and it almost immediately started to smoke. It continued to smoke even after I turned it off. It smelled like burning wood. It kept smoking (15 minutes) until I unplugged...

Wherever you bought it from should have a warranty. Get them out there to look at it. The smell of burning wood is odd. Check to make sure all of the packing material was removed prior to installation. That could be burning cardboard on the outer casing of the oven.

Smells like smoke

Quit smoking. Put a shallow pan filled with ammonia in the vehicle and leave it in the sun for a couple of days.

Hi. I have a brand new Benchmark Premiere 6 11068 popcorn machine. Ever since the first time using the machine the kettle smokes up. It smokes the entire 5 minutes while heating up and continues to...

could be that the bowel had a thin plastic protection on it when new that should have been peeled off before starting it up
could be a wire touching the hot bowel and melting
what ever , it is under warranty so take it to a service dealer or authorized repair shop and have it checked out
smoke and smell are food contaminants so the cause has to be found for safety reasons

I have a Kicker Solo-Baric, L7, 12 inch subwoofer making a scratching noise. The cone is fine but the inside is not. Can i get this repaired? Kicker said no. This is a $250-300 sub. I hate to just throw it...

The bad news is that your voice coils could be fried up, basically mechanical failure. Might as well buy a new sub because replacing a voice coil means you got to rip the whole sub apart, very complicating.

It lights like its new but it stinks and smokes like you wouldnt

hi, have you left it on for about 10 to 14 minutes as you may just find that their is a build up of grime that needs burning off first and you should find the smell and smoke will stop over time.

So just put it somewhere where the smell and smoke wont harm anyone and then just leave it on sometimes they can take ages to burn off all the dust and grime that has built up expecily if it has been stored somewhere dusty and damp.

Just give it a good 20 to 30 min and then you should find the smell and smoke will slow down and eventually stop.

Could i just ask is it giving off any heat at all or just smoke and smell?

we use to have one of these when we had a car repair workshop that had no heater it was just like a big garage to fit about 10 cars in so we used one of those and found them pretty good.

Give it a good run and let me know what happens from what i can also remember their was no dials on our neither it was just a case of plugging it in and then it would start and give off heat and plenty at that

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

Won't go off

The first thing to try is to do what is called a "factory reset". What this does is to force your RD to reload all of its factory default settings straight out of the programmed firmware. These new settings will then overwrite any present settings which may be corrupted. Here is how to do it (specifically for the Solo S2):

Solo S2’s Factory Settings
To reset Solo S2 to its original factory settings, press and hold the Mute and M (Mode) buttons while turning Solo S2 on.Solo S2’s display will provide a “Reset” message, accompanied by an audible alert, acknowledging the reset.

Solo x 10 dual 2 ohm smells burnt and smoke

there is no such speaker as a solo-X L5.
The Solobaric L5 is 450Watts RMS and 900 Peak.
Check your documentation, and no warranty except Massive Audio covers Burned Voicecoils as it is deemed customer abuse.
If it is a typo, and not an L5, your combination (as long as each is level matched) should be ok to run on that sub. When wiring it as you describe, the two amplifiers need to be identically matched in order for both coils to play at the same level.
Seek professional installations so your warranty is intact.
