Problem....

By Phoebe - usenet poster

Hello

I have a Nokia 6210.

I have just purchased a new car which has an in-car, factory fitted phone.

I want both the phones (the 6210, and the factory car phone) to have the
same number.

I cannot use the SIM card from my mobile phone, as the car takes the full
size (credit card size) cards, and my existing phone tases the small SIMS

How can I overcome this problem??

I would like the car, and the mobile on the same number.

Can this be done?? or do I need another SIM for the car??

Thanks

Paul

| How do operators react to having two sims the same on their network?  Do
you
| have to not turn them both on at the same time?
|

I wouldn't think they would react well, but they wouldn't know as you would
have only one phone on at the one time.

Check with your operator. I have a subsrciption called "Twins", whitch I get
two sim card to respond to the same number. I use those in my carfitted phone
and the phone I carry. Works like a charmd. If anyone wonder, I use Telenor,
which means I'm Norwegian.....

Thanks for confirming.  I remember hearing something about this from a
CPW rep, though never thought it would come in handy (I'm not, and
dont intend to use Vodafone).

I think you can get a second SIM if you are on Vodafone, though I am
not sure about this.

Don't think any of the other networks allow you to have 2 SIM cards
for one number.

Yes. If you have a Voda contract, Voda offer a service called Mulitisim. It
ain't cheap but it will do what the OP wants, although the availability of
the service is probably SP dependant.
