If it makes it through the cycle from start to finish ,consider yourself a lucky one.If it breaks I don't recommend fixing this.

LOUD NOISES IN MACHINE;
LOT OF THINGS TO CHECK, THE BELT LOOSE OR WORN, THE CLUTCH, THE TRANNY, THE BEARINGS BOTH TUB SEAL AND BEARING, THE REAR DRUM BEARING,
THE DRIVE PULLEY- If the washer is making a loud noise the drive pulley might be worn out, cracked, loose or bent. Remove the drive pulley and inspect it carefully. If it is damaged or defective replace it.
THE TRANSMISSION, THE MOTOR COUPLER, THE MOTOR DRIVE BEARINGS,
THE DRIVE MOTOR- If the washer is making a loud noise the drive motor bearings may have worn out. Washer motors are normally almost silent when they run. If the motor is run without a belt hooked up to it and it's loud it will have to be replaced.

Whirlpool 5761 Making loud squeaking/odd noises

It sounds like a bearing going since you hear grinding. There is a main bearing on the back in the middle of the machine. There are also two on the bottom about 18 inches apart. Less likely is the belt going from the motor around the drum.

Loud humming or buzzing only when it spins at high speeds

This noise causes by the drum bearing is getting worse. As soon as the noise is getting far louder and extremely louder then you have to replace the bearing of the outer drum. Normally, the repair cost is as high as buying a good deal new washer.

We have a Whirlpool Duet Sport Front-Loading Automatic Washer and it makes a pretty loud noise when in the spin cycle. The volume is directly proportional as to how fast the washer is spinning. It's a...

The symptoms that you describe are caused by bearing failure. The water seal in the wash tub has failed, allowing water to leak into the bearing causing the bearings to rust. As the bearings start to rust, they will not roll properly and start to make a rumbling sound. The sound get louder the faster the bearing turns.
It a major job to repair since the washer has to be taken apart and the wash drum needs to be removed to replace the seal and bearings. Get a few estimates before deciding whether the washer is worth the cost to repair or replace. Sorry.

Hi, my 5 year old Bosch washer has started making a noise when it's on the slow side to side spin (not fast spin). It's a periodic creaking noise that occurs when the tumbler is in motion. The noise goes...

mine also sounds like it has that problem. it's almost like a squeaky spring and the more weight in the tub the louder it sounds....but only on the slow tumbles. i just had the cold water inlet value replaced last month and just last week it starts making that odd sound. so i just had a repairmen come look at mine. he said it sounds like a "normal" sound and noticed it happened when the direction switched. he said he would have to take the entire thing apart to try and find the "problem" (could be the belt, suspension, etc.) but couldn't guarantee he could find nor fix it. (he also didn't think it would have been caused by the leak) i'm clearly not satisfied with that answer (which is why i'm trolling around looking for others who have this problem). i think i'm going to get a second opinion. i could update you on that if you find this information relevant.

My amana washer makes a whril noise when it spines.

UNFORTUNATLY IT IS PROBABLE A SPIN BEARING THAT IS MAKING THE NOISE. THIS IS USUALLY CAUSED BY A LITTLE WATER LEAKING FROM THE CENTER SEAL ONTO IT. IT IS VERY EXPENSIVE TO FIXED AND VERY TIME CONSUMING, PLUS YOU WILL NEED SPECIAL TOOLS DESIGNED FOR THE JOB

No, I'll tell you before forking out $ $ for some bad news.The noise is your bearing. You have to replace the outer tub .Its not going to be repaired any other way.The idiots who designed this washer made this a non servicable bearing.The labor is high not to mention the outer tub is also.REPLACE THE OUTER TUB.
