Question about LG Washing Machines

My LG TROMM (WM1812CW) does not pump out water. I hear and feel the pump doing something, but water does not come out. Then the OE code pops up. I've cleaned the hose and filter. Nada.

As I tried to pull the filter out, the top screw section of it popped (perhaps even broke) off the filter. Not sure if I'll have to replace the whole thing or not, but just need to know how to get it out!

This code means that something is blocking either the water drain pipe, pump filter or the pump itself. I had the same problem and removing the filter (as recommended by LG) did not help. It turned out I had a piece of debris stuck in the pump propeller itself and consequently the water would not drain and the wash would not finish, prompting the error. This is what I did to fix the problem.
1. I removed the cover on the left bottom corner and the removed the filter and unhooked the little rubber tube (drain).
2. I removed the pump cover (lower left corner of the washing machine) and unscrewed 3 screws holding the pump from the front.
3. I disconnected the power supply and removed the back panel (attached with 4 screws)
4. Disconnected the two hoses (one black, one gray) from the pump.
5. Disconnected the power supply to the pump (I had to cut a plastic tie holding the connector in place in order to bring the connector closer so I can disconnect it).
6. Removed the pump by pressing a little tab that was holding it from the back.
7. Once I removed the pump from the washing machine, I took three screws out of the pump motor, gaining access to the propeller. This is where I found a little piece of plastic. Apparently propeller couldn't spin because of that obstruction.
8. I put the pump back together and attached the hoses. This is easier to do when you have the pump closer to the back opening of the washing machine.
9. I then connected the pump power supply connector, locked the pump back in its place and replaced the screws.

The total repair took less than 45 minutes. The hardest part was to remove and replace the drain tube springs, because I did not have the right pliers (You need decent size pliers or plenty of strength in your hands to squeeze the metal bands).
The tools you need for this repair are:
a philips and flat screwdrivers, large pliers and a sharp knife (to cut a plastic tie)

I have the same model # and it gave me a dE code I think that means a drain error What i did is pop off the small plastic cover in the front of machine take the big drain plug out clean it and screw it almost all the way back in then take the small plug off the rubber hose that is down there also then put some towels down on the floor put the machine on rinse and spin turn it on and as soon as water starts coming out of those areas screw the big one in and put the plug back in the small one. What I think this did is I think it flushed out any debris in the area and it did the job.Anyway the machine is working again with no codes coming up and it took about 5 to 10 minutes.

What is BE error code on LG TROMM WM1814CW

According to page 21 of the owner's manual, the following are known error codes: IE= Water Inlet Error, OE=Drain Error, UE=Unbalance Error, dE=Door Error, tE=Thermistor Error, FE=Overfill due to Faulty Water Valve, PE=Water Level Sensor Error, CE and LE=different Motor Errors, and PF=Power Failure.

you have a BE error thats not listed i think its something to do with the motor in the pump
i think it could be the pump
take it out and examine it for any sign of rust/ damage etc
this could be a crack in the housing inside the pump causing a leak not always leaking out just into the inside of the pump motor
although OE is drain error BE maybe pump motor error
as its closer to the CE and LE other motor errors

isolate the mains supply too the machine and wait a couple of mins and plug it back ?does the error clear
if it is there when you didnt select a cycle then its something thats detected pre runtime

What is an "OE" error message on an LG Tromm clothes washer?

OE means Water may not drain properly
This causes:
Your pump is clogged.
Your pump is not connected.
Make sure your pump is repaired, and try again.

Are you saying it is draining the water properly? Because it sounds as though the pump is faulty. Every now and then you get pup motor that don't short out or stop completely they just don't drain we'll anymore. The drain period on your machine is timed so a slow drain may cause the error. So even though everything is clear and 'working' the pump needs replacing. Another cause would be a false reading from the pressure switch(level switch) but you would normally have problems with fill etc also, so unlikely.

I have a problem with my LG Tromm front load washer. It will wash seemingly normally up to the point it gets to the spin cycle. Then a motor comes on and the machine does not spin or drain. The display...

The LG error code OE simply means "the pump is blocked". Presumably the water isn't being emptied properly. As with all error codes it is possible that there is a cause other than the exact description in the error code explanation but basically this error means as far as the washing machine is concerned it thinks the water isn't pumping out. A pump, or filter blockage is the most common cause but it could be caused by other faults such as a faulty pump, or even a blockage in the drain hose or somewhere else in the system etc.

LG themselves have some information on this error code..
