Question about Apple iPod nano 3rd Generation

Scroll button... My button on my ipod does not respond as soon as I press it. It will sometimes go to the option I choose, and sometimes it scrolls up & down on its own.

    My Ipod won't acknowledge that I am scrolling untill im attempting to scroll for awhile and than it will scroll up and down repeatedly.

I believe I know what you are talking about, and I find that the wheel is sensitive to heat/sweat from heat. I think that whenever I'm hot, it just gets really touchy. hope that helped:)

If you have an iPod nano or Fifth Generation iPod (iPod with video):
  1. Scroll down to the last menu option but don't select it.
  2. Scroll up one menu item. This should be Settings.
  3. Press the Center (Select) button. This takes you to the Settings menu.
  4. Scroll down to the last menu option but don't select it; in English, this is the "Reset All Settings" option.
  5. Scroll up to the third menu item from the bottom one. This should be Language.

How do u change the language back to english

Hi, Let me provide you the steps to change the lnaguage on your ipod mini...

If you have an older iPod with color display
  1. Scroll to the fourth menu item in the screen and press the Center (Select) button. This takes you to the Settings menu.
  2. Scroll down to the last menu option but don't select it; in English, this is the "Reset All Settings" option.
  3. Scroll up to the third menu item from the bottom one. This should be Language.

I got a silver apple ipod nano mp3 thing yesterday and its in chinese. how do I make it display english?


Hi there,

I've done this before :) Oops, very frustrating at first. Follow this:
  • Press the menu button 3 or four times to get you to the main menu
  • Choose the 7th option down (thats the settings option) and press the Select button
  • Scroll all the way to the bottom and then choose the third one up (Thats the languages option) and press the Select button
  • Next choose the top option which is English (well you should see that now!)
  • And you're done
