Are you connecting to your own wireless router? If yes, have you changed anything in its configuration, or inadvertently reset it? If you're connecting to someone else's router (neighbor, etc.) it could be that they have locked you out. Does the wireless network show as secured? This sounds more like a security issue than hardware or driver.
Make sure the wireles button is turned on if it is a notebook.
Make sure the drivers are installed and upto date.
Make sure the router is turmed on and the wireless light should be on. (install the router if u had received any cd along with the wireless router.
if still your wireless connection is not detected simply remove all the wireless profiles on the. restart the PC and the router. once it is started the the network should be detected.
it maybe a firewall blocking access or the secruity code 1) disable the firewall and see if it now connects 2) log into the router and goto the wireless section and remove the secruity now see if that will connect
a useful tool to use, if you can copy onto the PC, http://www.xirrus.com/library/wifitools.php this will detect all the networks broadcasting - so you can now see if the adapter will detect your wireless network
Check the WLAN light on the Linksys Router if it's still on and make sure that the Wireless Adapter is ON on your HP computer and can detect other wireless networks, if WLAN is off try to do a power cycle and check again the lights... If lights are ok... connect your PC to the LAN port of the router and access the admin page, try changing channels and see if your wireless computer can detect it, if still not try to do a hard reset on the router
since the laptop is connecting to the router and is having the internet access as well then clearly the problem is with the adapter or with the pc using the adapter.
Following steps can be considered :- 1)If the PC is using OS as windows XP then , click on start menu and then go to control panel and then open network connections from there. 2)Under network connections an option for wireless connection exist , right click on that option and then click on properties. 3)Under wireless network connection properties there are three tabs general , wireless network and advanced. 4)Left click on wireless network tab and check the box which says use windows to configure my wireless setting's and click OK at the bottom. 5)Then , Right click again on wireless network connection and then left click on view available wireless network. 6)List of available networks will be there , select the network you use and try connecting to it , if it gets connected then the internet access will be there.
Hi, to connect your computer to the wireless network of the router you need to have a wireless adapter. The bluetooth adapter will not work in this case as the router does not communicate with the bluetooth signals.

You can do a reset on your router. All computers must be must be getting its connection from your router. Your wired computer must be getting an ip address from the router(example is 192.168.1.x). You can then access the router page using your browser by typing the default gateway(example 192.168.x.1). This will take you to the router configuration page. You can set up the wireless network and your wireless network can now support more than 2 wireless computers.
If this laptop has a wireless switch, make sure it's on. Did you get the wireless hub? Wireless is controlled by the wireless zero service, which should turn on automatically when your adapter is detected. You can turn it on manually in Control Panel/Admin Tools/Services
