I have a Sony MHC-DX5 Mini Hifi component system. It works perfectly except for a recent problem where especially when I have not played CD's for some time the 3 CD disc tray slides out when I press OPEN/CLOSE but sometimes refuses to go back in. Whether it goes back in or not has been unpredictable. When it does not there is a slight buzzing sound which stops after a few seconds. When it absolutely refuses to go back in I have been able to gently manipulate the tray and push it back in manually . But now since today it completely refuses to come out either !. It sounds very much as if some wheel is stiff needing some lubrication. Can I handle this myself without the tedium of a 4 hour drive taking the machine down to the agents ?
