Unplug receiver from AC outlet, and plug back in. The power reset should clear up the problem.

My denon DRA-295 does not remember stations I set to memory when completely turned off. If on standby all goes well. A month after the problem mentioned above the tuner started to modulate reception and...

My better guess is a CMOS chip is either bad or there is a cold solder connection in the vicinity. If the power supply is bad, the receiver would not power up.

What can i do to be able to take my denon dra685 out of protection mode??????

I just recently picked up a Denon DRA-685 receiver that was stuck in protection mode. I found a site online that suggested it was due to two bad resistors on the main circuit board. More specifically resistor R-105 and R-106. They are both 1 ohm x 1 watt resistors. I ordered these from a supplier on Amazon for a few dollars, and just snipped the old resistors off, leaving the soldered leads sticking out. I then thinned the new leads and soldered them to the protruding wires, so I didn't have to remove everything. The unit now works like new. I'm happy I spent the time doing this, and grateful to the tech who discovered the common problem with this unit. Hope this can help somebody else. H

The scren says panel lock on. how do i get out of this mode

Denon panel lock was not supposed to be supported on this model, somehow yours is. We need to reset the microprossessor.
as denon manual states:
switch off the unit by pressing power.
keep both speaker a and b pressed and turn on the unit by pressing power.
check that the entire display is flashin at 1 sec intervals and release buttons.
the mircoprossor has been reset.
if step 3 does not work start over again.
the receiver will go back to factory defaults.
let us know if further troubleshooting is needed.

Cheers!

Denon DRA-37 Receiver-Remote lock on. Need to unlock.

Refer to the "Initialization of the Microprocessor" section of the manual (page 16 of the PDF version of the manual).
1) Turn the unit OFF using the On/Off switch (not the standby switch).
2) Depress both the Speaker A and B switches, and turn the Power ON.
3) The entire display should flash at 1-second intervals. The microprocessor should be reset, and the remote should be unlocked.

Standby light stays red and will not turn unit on.

Try to reset the macroprocessor. Unplug the unit from AC, hold both buttons SPEAKER A and SPEAKER B and plug the cord in outlet. After display flashes several times release the buttons. No result? - repair shop.

2621217005 for a Denon DRA-1025RA receiver

That's fine DonMoody, it can be a little confusing at times. The options are very clearly stated as to what they really mean. Rejecting a solution means, the solution does not help you, or you tried and it did not work, something like that.

I am kinda new here to, about a week. Be very careful who you listen to here, some "guru"'s are not what they seem. But I am sure you can tell by some answers you get.

Is that unit an older stereo reciever? I recognize the "DRA" but not the 1025RA part.

What is tis part you need, sometimes a generic part will do the trick. Depends on just what the generic number is. That should be the number that is printed right on the part if it is an IC

I will see what I can come up with when I get to work in about 6 hours. I go to the doctors in a few minutes and then I go to work.
let's see if we can't solve this for you. If I go thru my sources and can not get the part, it is just not available. sometimes that happens, even with newer equipment.
