Same problem, not heating water or drying dishes. Have checked the heater element and it is OK.

I have the same problem and have removed the PCB but it is not clear what component is the heater relay. There is some slight darkening to the control unit in one corner under a coil like component. There is also some evidence of overheating on a small turquoise 2 pin component. Is the heater relay a black box marked js1-b-12v-h111 and as1311f mo1. Is it known for the relay itself to pack up?

I did have exactly the same problem but thanks a million iascott. I'm far from an expert on this sort of stuff but once I managed to get the board out there the relay had darkened pin and clearly no connection visible - soldered it up, and after another half an hour trying to put all the machine together, hey presto the machine now works again. Fantastic stuff - cheers all!

Also had the exact same problem on a 2003 model. Got the board out and resoldered the relay (was darkened and disconnected) problem solved.
Jaredwood - for me the trouble spot was obvious once the bottom of the PCB was visible. Maybe your machine has something else, of course since it's been 4 months you've hopefully got it sorted already. Thanks iascott

Remove the controller from the top of the door. Extract the main PCB from the plastic case. You will probably see a burn mark on the inside of the case adjacent to the relay on the back of the PCB. Examine the back of the PCB for burn marks around the relay pins. Resolder the relay and any damaged track.

I have triggered the anti flood system how do i fix this problem?

When this happened to ours it was food debris in the water supply feed. There is a tank located in the left hand side wall which is accessed by taking the side off the machine. This tank needs to be replaced as although it may reset itself a few times the problem continue to occur until the water fill path is clear

AEG Favorit 40650 water heater not working. How do I check if it is the heater element failure or the printed circuit board control unit

Check the element by using an Ohm meter. You should get an ohm reading if the element is OK. If the element is open circuit you would get an infinity reading. Just note that "newer" machines do not use the traditional heating elements but do have a (Inductive heater) coupled in line with the hose feeding the top spray arm of the washer. This unit must be cheched by a dealer as a DIY will have dificullty checking it.

Dishwasher AEG FAV40620W stuck time delay

Thanks. I figured it out from the online manual. Hold buttons #2 and #3 (second and third button down on far left side) for 2 seconds should reset it. It took some 15 minutes however before the dishwasher reset!

Drain pump keeps running AEG oko favorit

This seems like the anti flood system (polystireen float / micro switch) at the base of the washer is triggered,\. This puts the washer in pump out mode and stops inlet of water via the inlet solinoid. Dry the water on the base and then check for any water leaks. (pipe leak
