found this unit in a home I just bought. I found the following info but can't tell what it is. By the way, it was hanging on the walland there's a small speaker in it.

    FCC ID. BJ4-61WDB50RX

    CANADA: 1731 101 557A

same exact thing happened to me - i was guessing it was a doorbell can you get it to work?

Same thing. Found it in a new home I just bought. I think it's a remote thermostat for the Heatilator gas fireplace. There is a setpoint adjust wheel inside. It senses ambient temperature and shuts down the firplace if the room gets too hot. Mine was apparently attached to the wall via adhesive strips at some point.

    How's that sound?

This is a Desa (now Heath-Zenith) wireless door bell (remote chime). If you don't have the transmitter, then this receiver is quite useless.

Samsung refrigerator rfg297aarf cannot put cool select pantry drawer back?

I don't remember exactly how that one works but try these two options...

1) tip the front of the drawer up more than 45 degrees and connect the rear to the tracks, then lower the front until the drawer catches on the rails - it will push in and slide out correctly.

2) look under the shelf where the drawer attaches, you may have to get down on your knees and really look in. Pull all moving clips that are in the drawer tracks forward (they may have been moved back while cleaning). Then connect the drawer to the slider clips (it should be obvious how they clip in if you have the slider clips).

Hope one of those was right for your unit.

My maytag french bottom freezer drawer fridge has stopped working.model MFI2568AES I found out that the door was cracked open for about a week and the problem worsened over time .... I have since cleaned...

Not exactly sure whats going on based on your description. But let me tell you what I had to deal with:
Same situation where some fool left the drawer open, it caused the railings inside the drawer to freeze. I applied heat with a blow dryer to thaw it and had to realign it.
I've also realized that the freezer unit is what supplied cooling to the rest of the refrigerator (through forced air) and noticed that it works the same way with all the fridges ive delt with (maybe around 15 or so). So it doesn't make sense, if the freezer isn't cooling then the fridge shouldn't be either being that it uses the same source and it passes through the freezer first.

That said, I wonder if the fridge compartment is cooling?
Do you hear the compressor running?

How to open cd drawer

Oh my God, the answers I\'ve found on the net on how to get the CD drawer on a Crosley CR247 open are all nuts. Mine wouldn\'t open yesterday and I dismantled the whole damn thing to get the tray open, but that isn\'t necessary.

First of all my unit was making noise when I hit the eject button but the drawer wouldn\'t open. I knew there was no CD in the tray. Powering down and all the other foolish answers I found didn\'t work. There is no small round hole in the front to do a manual eject. Trying to pry the door open won\'t work and you\'ll just damage the unit. Here\'s what you need to do. And do it all GENTLY. There is no need to force anything!

Take a small, pointed steak knife out of your kitchen silverware drawer. This is all you\'ll need to get the drawer open. First let\'s identify where we\'re going to put that knife blade. The CD drawer says "CD RECORDER" and there are 3 lines on each side of that label. Where you\'re going to put that knife is below the 3 lines on the left, to the left area of those lines (see picture). This is the location of the drawer lock.

If you still hear noise when you push the eject simply push in the knife gently as you push the eject button. The drawer will open if you got the right spot.

If you hear no noise, or your unit is dead and you want the CD out, or if you\'re just afraid to stick the knife in the unit, unplug the unit. Gently push in on that spot until the drawer pops out a little bit. Now you can gently open the drawer by hand.

You can see the drive belt and pulleys (see pic). Mine was still intact but needs replaced. Here is also the info I got off of the back of the CD (see pic). Might not be able to find a replacement belt but at least you can get the thing open. Good luck.

Paper is stuck under the thermal unit and cannot be removed. The unit probably has to be removed to get at the paper and we need instructions how.

First you must remove the cover for the duplexing drawer below the fuser drawer. It will allow you to fully extend the fuser drawer to remove the fuser unit. You have to remove the 3 front covers of the fuser drawer, remove the three black screws that secure the fuser motor, then the yellow cover to access then two screws that secure the fuser unit to the drawer. But you must unplug the connectors you see in front of the fuser unit. I believe there are 5 connectors that need to be unplugged. Don't forget to unplug the connector below the fuser unit. This is the sensor that tell the fuser shield its home position. You fully extend the drawer by looking at each side of the drawer and push in the leaf springs you see and pull the drawer out further. Remove the two screws you see on the top of the fuser and gently remove the fuser unit. Take your time and all should go well.

I have a new to me Starbucks Italia. I have made a few shots and it is telling me to "empty grounds". I have done so but the empty grounds mssg won't go off and it won't function. what do I need to do?

When you want to empty the grounds because it says to in the menu, REMEMBER TO LEAVE THE MACHINE ON when you remove the drawer. The machine is a counter and when it reaches the magic number for that machine the message comes on. If the machine is turned off when you pull the drawer out, the machine doesn't know this and the message will be there when you turn the machine back on. Also remember to leave the drawer out for at least 15 seconds or a little longer so the machine thinks you actually dumped the grounds.

The bottom drawer will not run but has power

If the display on the door does not turn off a few seconds after you shut the drawer, then one possibility is that the drawer sensor switch in the unit is faulty. This sensor operates when the drawer is closed and the unit will not run if the sensor is not telling it that the drawer is closed.
It is also possible the drawer has come off the sliding rails and is not sitting properly and this causes the sensor not to come on.

Good luck

Hotpoint WD72 - Plug Fuse Blows on Final Spin/Rinse

Hello thesquiffys

You said,
During final spin/rinse a vibrating/buzzing noise begins behind the from panel and which appears to be coming from just to the right of the soap drawer. After a few seconds, either the trip throws on the household consumer unit, or on one occasion, the fuse in the mains plug blew as well. Have noticed (don't know if connected) that soap drawer is often found containing water after machine is finished.

1.The soap dish needs to be cleaned out, holes clogged. The instructions for this
process is in the user guide and I'll paste the site below for you in case you do not have it available to you.
2.The noise sounds like a short or electrical problem starting.
For this you will need a hands on diagnoses.
TRY doing the soap drawer first to be sure that it is not the culprit!

The book can be found here and the drawer info on page 12:

Let me know how it goes!

Please remember to leave a rating!
Thank You
