Generic problem for all Standard Televisions

our tv won't hold a station.....if we manually push 3 on the tv itself, we can get a station and a clear picture, but quickly the devilish tv, goes to 8 then 88 and then 888 and no signal....help our model is kv-25fs120 sony wega
