You need to flip the screen 90' depends on your video card. Its in screen properties -> advanced properties.

If the syncmaster didn't come with software of its own then you have to get to the display properties and rotate it.

    Please see this link

    http://www.nvidia.com/object/feature_nvr...

You might need to download the nvrotate tool but again it depends on your video card is it nvidia? ati? intel? or difrent?

  • Ekse May 18, 2008

Actually the NVROTATE comes with nvidia control panel if you have the newest drivers. But if your card isn't nvidia then that wont be a option.

ATI, INTEL, and so on have a little difrent system for this but they are all in the same place

on desktop right click -> properties -> settings -> advanced ->

the flipping can be found somewhere in here, if its a nvidia card then its under the nvidia page.

My crt acer ac512 monitar only centre line view,c"not full view why?

there are several reasons why picture of crt monitors did not display good picture. if your monitor had horizontal line at the center of the screen?...the faulty is in the vertical deflection, check the vertical oscillator also the fusible resistors & capacitors around that section. if there had vertical line at the center of the screen?..check the horizontal deflection, horizontal output transistor also check the YOKE.

Monitor is vertical display instead of horizontal display

the keys ctrl+alt+right arrow should do the trick for you. if not then right click on the keyboard and select properties for options and you will find your graphics software has its own rotational software. good luck with two year old, sounds like you'll need it.

My problem is about our lcd monitor, at first it has this vertical black color between 2 sides and i like it because it does not affect the horizontal view in my games,,but now, the black in the 2 sides...

I think your screen is set up for "widescreen".
This is also called 16:9.

I would browse the monitor's menu (where you adjust the brightness and contrast', and see if you can put it back to 4:3 (4:3 is the ratio of a TV, kinda square").

I suggest that you try that, and post back with your monitor's model. (example : Samsung T220). It should be written on the monitor.

Try pressing the keys Control, Alt, down arrow. Then try the Control, Alt, up arrow. This flips the image on a lot of Nvidia cards. Good Luck.

Horizontal lines are appearing and moving acrosss the screen of my View Sonic E50C Monitor...

What is wrong with your monitor is that the Horizontal section is going faulty, the lines you are seeing are the Horizontal Retrace lines, usually invisable in a working unit. It is often a faulty capacitor(s) OR a Diode breaking down.. in the area of the Flyback Transformer. Probably time for a new one unless ya can fix it yaself.

Elongated desktop and software screen images

Many graphic cards enable you to rotate the screen up to 360 degrees. You could try to post this question again under you graphic card model instead of computer screen model as it is your graphic card that is certainly the problem.
