Toshiba Satellite laptop Model 035 S611

My Toshiba screen is locked. The cursor remains in the same spot. The Control Alt Delete does not work. Prior to this when I would press the number keys symbols appeared. I am afraid I may have fat fingered some keys pressing the function button-but I dont know how to fix it?

If it is completely frozen press and hold the power button (you will lose any unsaved work) it should turn off, failing that remove the power source.

Cursor is frozen in the middle of the screen, i have tried FN 9, and it is enabled. So frustrating can anyone help.

Sometimes I just wait...
Pressing Ctr.+Alt =Delete will bring up your Windows Task Manager which may restore control over the mouse-cursor connection. It's a god idea to have it running al the time minimized on your taskbar anyhow.

Toshiba blank screen

Sounds like a corrupted OS install. Could be caused by a number of things like: virus, failing Hard Drive, system lost power while doing an update, etc. Very hard to diagnose such a problem without being in front of it.

Power Point shows a dialog box that I can't close only when connected to projector

Try closing it with the task manager. Click CTRL+ALT+DEL then select the Application tab and see if it is listed as running. Click it to highlight it then select End Process.

You have to Press and Hold the CTRL+ALT+DEL keys. Do not turn them loose until after you hit the DEL (Delete) Key.

This is an issue with your LCD cable that hooks your LCD to your motherboard.

You can try this site for the part.

Indeed it could be the hdd. I would backup all files that I couldn't afford to loss ASAP. Then, I would do a fresh reload of your choice of OS. Be sure to do the full format NOT the "Quick" format. This will allow the system to recognize any bad clusters that might be on that hdd.

Hope this helps.

I have a toshiba p35 s611 with the os changed from xp home to xp pro. Now the media player plays full screen and will not close. Only Alt+F4 will close it. I have the ATI's Mobility Radeon 9000 drivers...

Look in device manager to see which drivers you need. The ATI drivers are kind of picky so look in device manager to get the exact hardware names that are marked with yellow or red. With the upgrade you lost some drivers and will have to get them on the web with the names listed in device manager
