After installing EMU0404 USB CD, no sound (by 2 users)

I have a Sigmatel soundcard on my laptop, do I have to disable it first. If yes how do I do that?

Hi Similar problem.I can play back audio but cant get any lnput to register.the led's on the device dont show any signal at all when I connect a mic.Should these led's register signal when not connected to a computer?If so maybe my unit is faulty.
