Question about Sony FD Trinitron WEGA KV-36HS510 36" TV

1 Answer

TV won't come on

When I push the power button on the front of the television, all I hear is a double "click" coming from inside the tv. Then, nothing happens. Any suggestions??? Sometimes the tv wont stay on, it comes on for a second and then shuts down and the standby light keeps flashing. Then I unplug it and leave it alone for a couple of hours or as much as 12 hours and then it works fine again. What is going on? Thanks, Bee

Same as this guy

This is due to a power supply issue and it will need to be looked at as this will not come on one day or another.

There are probably bad cacitors in the power supply unit that is causing this issue yes you will need to take it in for it to be evauluated.

Thanks

My tv will not turn on

your tv set is in auto protection mode.
sum times its due to a power line falur or a power surge to the set and other times its due to parts failing inside the set.
depending on the age of the tv, you might want a repairment to take a look at it.
best regards,
daniel.

36 inch sony TV flat screen

Good day.
Flyback could sometime be a problem but seldom that its the source. Have your circuits be checked first particularly the vertical section. Also, check on the supply of your system IC. there may be some imbalances there.

Response is highly appreciated.

TV won't turn on.

It sounds like you have problem with the switch on the tv itself. try opening the front panel where switch is located and check wiring or maybe change the switch which you can get it online.
