But certainly check your DirectX software, since all video applications, including webcams, use DirectX for video processing. Try downloading the latest DirectX version and install it (Windows XP: DirectX 9.0c - Windows Vista: DirectX 10). http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Which-version-of-DirectX-is-on-your-computer Hope this helps.

Hi hyarmenion_1

Updates are used to remove some bugs(errors), more features and new versions.

If you have installed net.framwork you can use Windows update to install additional updates. You can find it in Internet Explorer under Functions.

For the LifeCam 2.07 software it shoud be a update feature in the program.

Hope that helps
IF NOT then try to return here

It keep saying web cam not found ,it was working find until i upgrade to a new version,it also say configuration in the registry is incomplete or damage. code 19

Try unplugging the camera and rebooting then reconnect the camera it may be a simple connection problem. Next I would uninstall the drivers, disconnect the camera and reboot. Then install the camera and software as if it were new. That should get you running gain. If you update and it gets the error you may end up doing that again but this time don't update. I've seen more than a few updates break things that were working just fine.

If device manager doesnt show the camera with yellow question mark it means that the driver is loaded correctly and windows is confortable with it. Can you open the camera software and see under either file or somewhere in settings if there is a option to select source or change device.

I have the cd of A4tech web cam but i cannot install it.

go to microsoft and update your computer and go to the web site for youe printer and update your printer software once you have done that go ahead and install the camera, if you you have a USB printer that may be your problem try using a different usb hook up. install the camera and if it gives you an error code microsoft will give yo a solution to fix the issue, it would be helpful to know your printer type as well. Also go to this site download this registry program http://www.driversdownloadhub.com/drivers.php?fix=File%20Extension%20MAN and run it to see if it fixes the problem, if not go to http://www.drivers.com and go to the driver update page download the install active x control and san for drivers it will then tell you what drivers are out of date on your computer and you can go to each site and download then to update your computer.

Veo stingray webcam

This fix will work for all of the VEO Stingray problems because it gives a good driver download site and it tells you step by step how to get your cam to work with VISTA Good Luck and let me know if this fixed your problems.

1.Go to this site and download the driver you need: http://www.softsci.com/veodrivers.htm

2.Download it to your desktop

3. Don't unzip, install, or plug in your cam yet

4.Search for this in your start menu: Program Compatibility Wizard

5. Of the three choices click the one that says look for the program manually

6. Choose the option for XP

7. Choose the 680 x 420 or whatever it is not the 256 colors

8. Choose to run as administrator

9. Click next and it should change your screen to a real big resolution and then it will start to install the driver

10. Go through the install wizard

11. After it has loaded plug in your camera

12. Try a program that it is supposed to work with

13. Finish the Compatibility Wizard

now everything should work for your cam.
This works with all of your programs that vista will not run.
