As the name implies this is a DNS error. Try replacing the default DNS with IP addresses from the OpenDNS project, which supplies free DNS. Here are a couple to try: 208.67.222.222 or/and 208.67.220.220
not a big problem check out this link here http://boardsus.playstation.com/t5/PlayStation-Network/Possible-Solution-to-DNS-Errors-80710102-and-80710103/m-p/27590520
I get this problem a lot and i just reset my modem and that usually fixes it for me or if it doesn't work it may just be a problem with the internet provider.
I had the same problem and tried every solution. On the linksys website for my router they said to update the firmware. I did, enabled upnp and everythings good. Just reset you ps3 internet connection, set it to auto and let it do its thing.
The 80710102 problem is caused by a DNS error, which basically means that your PS3 is trying to navigate the Internet without knowing where it needs to go.
If you follow the link below I have written an in-depth (and free) article about how to fix PS3 DNS errors and get rid of the 80710102 code on your console.
Hi, i had the same problem but it was fixed by simply re directing my ISP's DNS settings away from Sony's. manually change your DNS settings to the ones below and it should work fine !
