All machines thread the same. TTN tension, take up, needle.
Beginning with the spool, guide the thread through the thread guides to the tension assembly. Pull the thread through the tension assembly and test it to make sure the tension is working correctly.
(To do this test, adjust your tension setting to normal or medium or 5 or something in the middle. Raise the presser foot and pull the thread through the tension. It should pull easily!! Lower the presser foot and pull the thread. It should pull noticeably harder.) If it passes this test, continue up through the take up lever, then down through the thread guides to the needle. Make sure your needle is fully inserted and turned the correct way.( If you load your bobbin case from the left side, the needle rule is normally FLAT to the RIGHT is RIGHT. There are some exceptions. If you have a newer style drop in bobbin or your bobbin case loads in the front then the rule is FLAT to the BACK.

from the cotton holder you run the thread across to the thread tensioner you pull the thread through this then you thread it through the hole in the little arm that goes up and down with the needle you then bring the thread down to the needle passing it through the holder at the top of the needle then you thread the cotton through the needle make shore the needle is in the right way this should work

Singer featherweight 11 cotton keeps breaking

The top thread breaks
1. the needle thread is not threaded properly
2. The needle thread tension is to tight
3. The needle is bent or blunt
4. The needle is incorrectly inserted
5. The needle thread & the bobbin thread are not set under the presser foot when starting to sew
6. the threads were not drawn to the rear after sewing
7. The thread is either to heavy or to fine for the needle

Bought a featherlite 221 will not pick up bobbin thread have no manaul so am i threading it correctly or putting in needle wrong the machine is like new

I see Singer Featherweight Featherlite manuals, not a Featherlite as a stand-alone model name. For the Featherweight 221 manual try here: http://www.singerco.com/accessories/manuals.html and enter the model 221. Alternative site: http://www.singer-featherweight.com/ with the direct link to the manual here: http://www.singer-featherweight.com/sitetwopages/singfea.pdf .

I hope this helps.

Can you give me instructions online (email them to me or point me to a website) for threading a Singer Featherweight II? It's my daughter's machine and she can't find the manual...I got ready to sew...

I'm not sure if the featherweight is listed here, go by the model number if there is one or have a look at a few threading diagrams until you find one that most closely resembles you machine. Hope this helps!

Sewing problems on Singer 132 featherweight

Your top tension must be set on 5 or there is some cotton/fluff stuck in your top tension unit or you have no tension on your bobbin case

Loops on bobbin side

Typically loops are a tension problem. Have you tried resetting your tension? You may have to also adjust your bottom tension, but be sure you mark (with fingernail polish or a sharpie) the original position so that you can put it back if it doesn't solve the problem. Also, what type of needle are you using? Try a jeans needle, maybe a 90 or 100. And, what kind of bobbin thread are you using? If you're using the same jeans thread, it may be too heavy for the bobbin. Try regular cotton or poly in the bobbin.
