Do you meen the resister looking components that are marked 3.15A PS8002 and so on and are soldered into the circuit board? If so they do not look bad,but do I need to check with a meter?thanks

Check all the fuses especially the pico fuses on the D board as the led should at least light up if the fusese are all good, then the set should throw an error code when you try powering it up. Let me know if you need more assistance

Yes there are 5 or 6 of them and they wont look bad you will need to check them for resistance just like a fuse.

My kp-57/65wv600 flashes SIX TIMES, PAUSED ABOUT 3 SECONDS AND BLINKS SIX TIMES OVER AND OVER! WE PUSH THE POWER BUTTON AND WE CAN HEAR WHEN TURN ON AND OFF, BUT NO IMAGE/PICTURE APPEAR. THANKS!

First off I would check your lamp to make sure it isn't burnt out. Usually the lamp door is on the backside of the TV. On my 2006 SXRD its on the right side of the TV just behind the buttons. Here is a link to a diagnosis page

Below is exploded view of your Sony KP-51HW40 TV rear side which shows board names and location.
You need to check D Board for convergence ICs and these are marked as IC8001 & IC8002 on circuit board.

I read it online that this is a very simple problem. It needs highvoltage splitter. I tried to open the front panel to see where the splitter is. However, I need some hint as to how to open the front panel. Good luck. Kiran

Ther eis a stand by function on the Television. If you have the owners manual read about that function. Th ered light stays on because it is programed to come on a t a certain time. Go to menu and find the stand by function.
