Scanner problem

I have an Epson Stylus CX6400 printer/scanner. The scanner part has somehow become "un-installed" and I cannot find the installation disk, so I can't re-install it. Is there any way I can download it from the Internet, or any other solution, please?

By "software" I assume you mean the installation disk? No, I never found it. I was hoping there was some other way of completing the installation, but I really need instructions in "easy stages for the beginner". Most instructions miss bits out, assuming you have some knowledge - which I don't. I'm OK with the actual use of my PC, but hopeless when it comes to installing anything! Many thanks anyway!
