Question about Toshiba 43A10 43" Rear Projection Television

Toshiba Rear Projection TV

Turns on makes a click noise , front blue light stays on , can hear slight sound from speakers as if no channel is tuned in , just blank screen , when i pull it out the power plug , a sharp bright light flashed through the center

Ur tv turn on now,hear alot of clicking?The tv LED light "lamp" on front panel flashes or light up?The tv projection lamp is dead.The Ballast board dead too,if hear alot of clicking?The ballast board help to ignite the projection lamp.

I had the same problem after replacing several things and still having same problem, it ended up being a capacitor.

ICs + resistors swapped= blue power light auto on clicking noise


Unplug the power to the convergence board. If it turns on, you still have a problem in the convergence circuit.

Good Day,
It sounds like you may have slightly diconnected a cable. Look for the large RED cable/wire that goes to the Blue tube and make sure that they are very secure. When doing this make sure the TV is off.

it sounds like the blue crt is failing Pull the front off and turn the tv on
When it still has a good picture tap the blue crt
if it flashes blue with lines across the screen then you know it is a bad crt

It might not be worth fixing

If the red,green and blue mixture adjustment is what you want...
remove front lower speaker grill & access panel..locate RGB
adjust on Screen / focus block.......slightly adjust screen controls for best mixture....do not adjust focus controls.....T.

is the light flashing? Many things will cause a no power condition, might be shorted Convergence IC's, Z801 Ic could cause trouble, might want to call service man.
