Frustrated! Created entire line of jewelry barbell labels on PC version of Dymo Label Software. Gave USB printer to wife and CD to install on her MacBook Pro. Installed fine runs fine on ALL files (DLF extension on Mac) she creates on Mac... BUT can not OPEN any of the LWL extension files I created on the PC. An absolute waste of a month of design and label creation!!! Anyone got a clue as to how to address this issue? Troubleshooting has not been successful thus far. All label files reside in correct folder in specified location. Of course simply changing the extension does not help. Could not find any reference to SAVE FOR MAC version. Help?!?!? Thanks.

The labels have a 2 yr warranty, so contact Dymo customer support and if they can't help you return the printer to the retailer you purchased from for a new printer. The Dymo LabelWriter DUO is an expensive printer that Dymo stands behind.

I had the same problem and accidently discover it was something very simple...at least in my case. I noticed the power cord connection was very good.. I notice the light on the transformer (cord) was sometimes green then it would go out. When I unplugged and then put some force into reconnecting the printer worked. Hope that helps.

depending on what version of office your using you will find a label tab under mailings (in office 07) or under tools (previous versions) you should be able to specifiy a label type or build a custom label.

It doesn't use ink so that's not the problem. more than likely it's one of 2 things. 1. you created a custom label layout and the text is just over the edge of it's printable area. Therefore, only hal of it prints. #2 Your using the wrong size label template on the software. make sure that the size you have loaded in your label printer matches the template shown size for size, inch for inch. The printer doesn't know (or care) what label you have showing on your software. It only knows what's loaded in your printer. So for example, if you have a shipping label on the software and put text to the bottom og it, it won;t print if you have an address label laoded in the printer.

Font settings can be adjusted for individual label templates and for the DLS application. Please note, changing the font settings for the DLS application will only affect the creation of new label templates. It does not change the font settings of any previously created and saved label templates.

I have the same problem in reverse: many labels for our office designed on an iMac as DLF files. The label files will not open on the new PC in our office. VERY frustrating!!! The address book export / import suggested by Dymo did not work.
Yes... frustration... same problem.
Files we created on a PC can't be opened on a Mac.
Help?!?!? Thanks.
Yes we have the same problem. Made a new label on the PC and it doesn't work on the Mac.
