Question about Whirlpool Ultimate Care II LSQ9549L Top Load Washer
We just replaced agitator coupling. Now it has a strong smell like the motor is overheating. Also makes a strange sound when it went into spin the water out. What do I need to do to fix this problem. Could it be the agitator it is loose and when it washes it pulls the clothes down like a screw.
This type of whirlpool washer has the water pump on the other end of the motor. if you are sure that you installed the drive coupling correctly then it is most likely something in the pump.
you can unhook the pump and run the washer and see if it works OK.
If it does then go get a new pump
