The paper feed will only allow 1 sheet at a time

Try cleaning all of the feed/pick up with warm soap and water. That model has a problem with one of the shafts slipping and coming unseated and getting damaged at the gear end (left side). Open the cover/panel, reach in with your thumbs and spread the black plastic pieces where the pivot/hinge is and lift the cover all the way open. You'll see the roller. The one in question is the thinner one that puts pressure on the fatter roller, and you can see to the right where the busing it rests on is. Make sure there is no play! If so, you'll have to remove it and shim out the right side so it cannot move from side to side once it's mounted. It may just be dirty seperation and need to be cleaned, so make sure you try cleaning all of the rollers with warm soapy water only.

Fax feeder is pulling sheets through at the same time

Sounds like the separation pads in the paper tray are worn out. You can contact Brother and purchase the parts from them. It should be less than $10. as long as the paper is being pulled from the tray it sounds like the rollers are okay.

Paper jam in Panasonic KX-

Your document feed is separate from your received and report prints so that's why your reports are printing ok and the document feeder jams. When you open up the doc feeder and look inside the machine you will see a roller and above it on the cover that opens you will see a rubber pad. Clean both the roller and pad (in fact anything in there that is rubber) with a rubber cleaner, alcohol, or even soap and water on a cloth without it been dripping wet. You will probablt find that they are very dirty. The roller feeds the document in so that needs to be clean and the pad helps to keep all the other docs from feeding in at the same time and that should be very clean so it produces good friction.

Paper Jam

Hi Art,
Try cleaning the rubber feed rollers with a good grade of isopropyl alcohol.

Make sure the side guides of the feeder are not too tight.

Brother 2820 paper feeding problem

An easy fix would be to try to clean the paper feed rollers in the paper pick up area with a gentle cleaner like soap and water or simple green. Do not use alcohol as this will break down the rubber over time. If this doesn't work, you may have drive problem and will need to refer to a professional to resolve.

Brother FAX-575 Cannot receive

Check your feed rollers that feed the blank paper into the machine. Take a flashlight and watch the rollers to make sure the rollers are spinning and trying to feed the paper.
If the rollers spin, and it doesn't pull the paper in, then your feed rollers are either worn or dirty. I would try cleaning the rollers if they are slipping on the paper. My suggestion would if you can find this cleaner called GOO GONE. This is a bio degradeable product that won't dry out the rollers and it will clean them.
Put some goo gone on a paper towel, and see if you can clean the rollers.
If you still have other questions, feel free to post them here.
Good luck.
Hope this helps.
Mac.

Feeds two sheets on top of each other through feeder when transmitting.

The problem is not the sensor, itis the rollers that feed and seperate the paper.
the sensor only tells it there is paper, in the machine. then there is a tire that feeds the paper and another that stops the others from feeding at the same time. If the tire ( on some models it's a pad that looks like it has a rubber or a cork.) is old it looses it's grip and let's the paper slip by. Try cleaning with alcohol, must be replaced eventually.

Paper won't feed through to send

I would suggest taking a soapy type cleaner such as fantastic and cleanign all the rollers in the scanner.
Sounds like they are slipping. May have to clean them a few times to get all the contaminants off.
Sounds to me like thats your problem.
The rollers may be worn. But try cleaning them thorouly.
